Decentralized storage has a straightforward proposition: digital information needs reliable places to live. Filecoin's harder task is competing on cost, retrieval performance, reliability, and ease of use against established cloud providers. Storage capacity alone does not prove commercial demand. The more revealing signals are recurring customer usage and economically sustainable storage deals, rather than capacity figures presented without context.
