On October 26, Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) announced that its ETH holdings have increased to 6.05 million, accounting for 4.95% of the total ETH supply;
Among them, 5.23 million ETH have been staked, and based on the current staking scale, the expected annualized staking income is about $318 million. In the past week, Bitmine increased its holdings by 10,452 ETH, continuing its weekly accumulation strategy.
BMNR already holds 4.95% of the total $ETH supply, enough to control the entire ETH market, which has both advantages and disadvantages for retail investors.
Pros: Large institutions heavily holding ETH indicates good potential and promising prospects for ETH. Retail investors can follow their lead, which also provides reassurance to retail investors—if the sky falls, there are tall figures to hold it up!!!
Cons: Holding 4.95% of the total supply is enough to exert control over ETH. With so many chips in hand, harvesting retail investors is like a game, easily manipulating retail investors and completing arbitrage harvesting.
