PK Day | Verdict on $BTC
The results are out, let's start by naming names
Seven-day test window (from 10/22 to this morning's snapshot) results are in: $BTC return -2.30%, $ETH -4.22%, the big brother took only half the hit; max drawdown 2.3% vs 4.2%, volatility 21.9% vs 38.8%, Sharpe ratio -6.34 vs -6.57. Overall report card: $BTC barely passed all, this round's verdict is still $BTC, reigning champion. The judgment remains: in a bear market, it's not about who earns more, but who loses more gracefully — in this skill, the second brother has fallen behind twice in a row. $ETH camp, don't throw your phones yet, there are details on the back of the paper, let's look at each subject slowly.
First subject: Return rate, who slid less
Normalized curves plotted on the same chart: on 10/22 both stood shoulder to shoulder at this cycle's peak ($BTC 82,048, $ETH 2,417), then descended together, the slope is the entire difference — big brother gradually slid to 79,777, second brother slipped directly to around 2,305. Drawdown is more straightforward: big brother's deepest 2.3%, second brother 4.2%, same seven days, second brother's slide was twice as long. Their pace was basically synchronized, both took a hit on 10/23, bounced on 10/24, then slowly declined, the difference was this morning's drop — big brother closed down -0.92%, second brother -1.25%, who led the jump is clear at a glance.
