Hyperliquid’s expansion into regulated US markets marks a significant development for the onchain derivatives sector.
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, has announced a deal with Trade[XYZ] to bring Hyperliquid based perpetual futures into the US, subject to regulatory approval.
The proposed products could cover equities, indices, commodities, forex, and crypto, with round the clock trading access.

Hyperliquid's perpetual model is set to be introduced into the US regulated market
There are two key thoughts behind this:
1️⃣ Disrupt traditional finance
Traditional finance operates only a few hours a day
Perpetual contracts run 7*24 hours nonstop
2️⃣ US stocks, forex, commodities
Expected to launch perpetual contracts
Moving towards formal regulation
⚠️ Risk points
Currently, only a proposal has been submitted; regulation approval is still pending
Whether it can be implemented and in what form remains uncertain
So the question arises:
After compliant perpetual contracts become widespread, will they take away perpetual contract traffic from crypto exchanges like okx?
