ETH at $2273, do you still dare to reach out?
The hacker holds 195,000 ETH, the ETF has seen 23 consecutive days of outflows setting a record, upgrades are delayed again and again—but just now, the daily RSI hit the oversold zone at 30, and the price bounced sharply from 2240 back to 2273. Is this a dead cat bounce or a golden pit?
First, look at the surface: bad news piled up like a mountain, yet the price refuses to fall.
Down 3% in 7 days, 15% in 30 days, sliding from the October high of 2740 down to the 2200-2300 range. But notice—only a little over 1% drop in 24 hours stopped, volume expanded then shrank after the event, bears can’t push it down anymore. Daily RSI at 30, oversold zone. After such a drop, if you cut losses now, who are you handing your bloodied chips to?
First thing: the hacker’s 195,000 ETH is a sword hanging overhead and the biggest smokescreen.
The Binance $6.4 billion hack, FBI confirmed North Korean-related group, attacker holds about 195,000 ETH. The whole network is shouting “the dump is coming, run!”
But think calmly: would the hacker blatantly dump coins on exchanges? Every large transfer is watched on-chain, by the FBI, and exchange risk controls. If they really wanted to dump, it would have happened on the day of the incident, not waiting for you to react slowly now.
Binance has already covered 95% of losses and started restoring withdrawals, user losses are covered by the platform. Trust is shaken, but no systemic collapse.
What the market fears most is never the bad news itself, but "not knowing if there’s another blow coming." The blow has already fallen, yet you’re still trembling in place.
Second thing: ETF outflows for 23 consecutive days, you only see outflows but not the cumulative $12 billion still inflowing.
The US spot ETH ETF had over $1 billion net outflow in October, setting the longest continuous outflow record, led by BlackRock ETHA. Sounds scary?
But cumulative net inflow is still about $12 billion. The current outflow is institutions reducing positions at highs to lock in profits, not "Ethereum is finished."
In plain language: smart money sold between 2300-2700, now looking again around 2200-2300. You panic sell at the bottom, they’re quietly buying below.
ETF outflow is a sentiment indicator, not a death sentence. When it turns to inflow, the price won’t be 2273 anymore.
Third thing: technically, the oversold rebound window is opening.
Daily RSI 30, oversold. Price repeatedly tests but doesn’t break the strong support zone at 2200-2240. Funding rate near neutral to slightly positive, long-short ratio 1.5, open interest still high—indicating both bulls and bears are betting, whoever chickens out first loses.
Strong support: 2200-2240 (recent lows + psychological level), if broken look to 2150-2180, then 2000
Strong resistance: 2300-2350 (moving average pressure + rebound highs), only above this can we talk about strength, then 2400-2450
From the 2025 ATH 4946, a 54% retracement, the mid-term correction is deep enough. But until the trend reverses, any rebound could be a false breakout.
Bull vs. bear, you decide:
On one side:
RSI 30 oversold, technical rebound imminent
2200-2240 support repeatedly tested but unbroken
Cumulative ETF still has $12 billion net inflow support
Exchange ETH reserves at multi-year lows, long-term holders accumulating
Moscow Exchange launching ETH trading in December
On the other side:
Hacker’s 195,000 ETH hanging overhead, could cause panic anytime
ETF outflows for 23 consecutive days, institutions reducing positions
Glamsterdam upgrade delayed, no short-term catalyst
Fed hawkish bias, December rate hike probability rising
Daily chart still shows lower highs and lower lows, trend bearish
Key levels
Upside: 2300-2350 (must hold with volume to confirm strength) → 2400-2450 → 2500
Downside: 2200-2240 (first iron bottom) → 2150-2180 → 2000
Trading strategy
Short-term players (1-3 days):
Buy small positions on pullback to 2240-2260 if stable (volume shrinks + RSI no new lows), target 2300-2330, stop loss below 2210. If volume breaks below 2200, reverse to short targeting 2150-2100, stop loss above 2230. Add longs only after breaking and holding 2350, target 2400+.
Swing traders (1-4 weeks):
Range trade 2200-2350, don’t guess direction. Single trade risk no more than 1-2% of total capital, leverage within 5-10x. Wait for November 10 CPI, Binance withdrawal progress, hacker ETH movements, ETF outflow convergence—any positive signal is a starting gun.
Long-term believers:
DCA below 2200, don’t all in at once. Wait for daily to hold above 2400 and ETF to turn inflow before heavy positions. Ethereum’s settlement layer status hasn’t changed, only your patience has.
ETH now is like March 2020—
After the 312 crash everyone said “crypto is over,” but what happened? New highs six months later.
Whether the hacker dumps or not is out of your control. What you can control is not handing over your chips at RSI 30.
