Aave suddenly makes a move to acquire! The next opportunity in DeFi might not be about trading coins?
On November 6, Aave Labs announced the acquisition of the Avon team and technology, focusing on developing fixed-rate on-chain lending.
I think this news is worth paying attention to.
Many people still associate DeFi with staking, mining, and high yields, but to truly attract traditional financial capital, high yields alone are far from enough.
For example, when a company borrows $1 million, the biggest fear is not a slightly higher interest rate, but a sudden sharp increase in the interest rate during the loan period, causing costs to spiral out of control.
Fixed rates solve this problem.
According to official Aave data, its network deposits have exceeded $33 billion, with active loans over $13 billion.
With such a large capital scale, combined with fixed-rate products, there is potential to attract more institutions and fintech companies in the future.
But here is an easily overlooked issue:
Aave's business growth does not necessarily mean the AAVE token will rise.
When new products launch, the actual borrowing demand, and whether protocol revenue can translate into token value—these are what need to be verified going forward.
I increasingly feel that the next phase of competition in DeFi is not just about who has higher yields, but who can truly provide stable and sustainable financial services.

BTC dropped directly from 80,000 to 75,500, I’m watching empty-handed, and today it’s grinding back to 76,000
On November 5th, it fell 5.5% in a single day, and today it’s been fluctuating between 74,800 and 76,400 all day, currently stopping around 75,800. It has retraced nearly 40% from the October high, mainly driven by the sharp drop in US tech stocks and continuous ETF outflows.
I originally wanted to try buying in batches when it broke below 75,000, but then I pulled back.
A few days ago, I just took a loss on leverage with SUI, so this time I didn’t dare to make a move, only keeping spot positions and waiting empty-handed.
A pitfall: many people take a "rebound after breaking an integer threshold" as "the bottom has been reached."
In fact, the sustainability of buying hasn’t been proven yet. ETFs had a net outflow of over $400 million yesterday again, so chasing the rebound can easily get shaken out again. This concern is why I didn’t dare to act this time.
Are you continuing to wait and reduce positions first, or have you already started buying in batches at low prices?
How are you managing your positions now?

BTC falls below $75,000
📉 BTC officially fell below the $75,000 mark, dropping about 5% in 24 hours, quickly retracting from the high near 80,000 yesterday.
It has retraced nearly 40% from the historical high of about $126,000 in October 2025.
The main driver of this decline is clear: a major drop in US tech stocks, with the Nasdaq experiencing one of its worst single-day performances recently. The sell-off of AI-related stocks directly transmitted to the crypto market. Coupled with concentrated liquidations of leveraged long positions, the total market liquidation amount exceeded $1 billion in the past 24 hours, most of which were long positions.
Key levels are now very sensitive:
• 75,000 is an important psychological threshold; breaking below it increases short-term pressure
• The next support range is around 73,000–74,000
• To stabilize in the short term, BTC needs to reclaim and hold above 80,000
⚠️ A common pitfall: many rush to add leverage to buy the dip once a round number is broken. History repeatedly shows that after key levels are breached, there is often a secondary bottom test rather than an immediate reversal. When volatility increases, leverage amplifies losses, not opportunities.
For ordinary holders, this looks more like an adjustment caused by an overall decline in risk appetite rather than a sudden collapse of Bitcoin’s fundamentals. The two things to watch next are: first, whether ETF capital outflows continue, and second, whether upcoming macro data releases (especially non-farm payrolls) will further strengthen or ease this risk-off sentiment.
If BTC can quickly recover to the 75,000–76,000 range, it indicates that selling pressure has temporarily eased; if it continues to break down and test 73,000, the adjustment period may be prolonged.
Are you going to keep watching, reduce your position to lower volatility, or prepare to buy in batches at lower prices?

Bitcoin plunges 6% in a single day, Fear Index drops to 28, midterm election rebound completely fizzles out
📉 The crypto market faced a severe sell-off today. As of the afternoon of November 6 Beijing time, Bitcoin (BTC) was around $75,500, down about 6% in 24 hours; Ethereum (ETH) was around $2,225, down about 7.8%. The total market capitalization fell back to about $2.65 trillion, shrinking nearly 5% in a single day.
📊 The Fear and Greed Index plunged from 50 (neutral) yesterday to 28 (fear), with sentiment rapidly cooling. The 24-hour contract liquidation scale exceeded $1.2 billion, with long liquidations dominating, and leveraged longs being heavily wiped out.
🚨 Core drivers
U.S. tech stocks and AI-related stocks sharply corrected (Nasdaq index dropped over 5%), risk appetite sharply declined, and the crypto market was pressured simultaneously. Meanwhile, the market is focused on the aftermath of the Democrats controlling Congress after the midterm elections—Senator Elizabeth Warren, known for her tough stance on crypto regulation, is expected to chair the Senate Banking Committee, raising regulatory expectations and further suppressing sentiment.
⚠️ Current key observation points
• Whether Bitcoin can effectively hold support near $75,000;
• Whether spot ETFs continue to see net outflows (BlackRock-related products have seen about $105 million in net outflows);
• Regulatory moves and legislative progress after Warren officially takes power.
The market has quickly switched from a "post-midterm election rebound" to a risk-averse mode in the short term, with volatility likely to increase.

After WLFI dropped more than 60%, it announced a buyback! Can the Trump-themed coin make a comeback?
I saw a piece of news today that's worth pondering.
World Liberty Financial, associated with the Trump family, announced the launch of a WLFI token buyback plan, with initial funds possibly coming from earnings generated by USD1 stablecoin reserves and other sources.
It sounds like good news, but looking at past performance, it's not that simple.
According to Reuters, WLFI has fallen more than 60% since the beginning of this year, and dropped about 10% after the US midterm elections.
This indicates one thing: political halo can bring attention, but it doesn't necessarily sustain the coin price.
What I care more about is: how much buyback funding is there? How often will it be executed? How will the repurchased tokens be handled?
If it's just an announcement without clear scale and continuous cash flow, it might stimulate sentiment in the short term but may not change the supply-demand relationship in the long term.
Another point is that growth in USD1 stablecoin business doesn't mean WLFI holders can directly share in the profits.
The market is becoming more realistic now; telling stories is easy, but truly converting income into token value is difficult.
Whether WLFI can get out of the trough next depends not on Trump's influence, but on whether the buyback can be fulfilled and whether the project itself can continuously create value.

Being out of the market is also a strategy: missed shorting DOGE, but bought long SUI with 20x leverage at 0.93
Yesterday, a mentor looked at the long-short ratio and directly told me to short DOGE, around 0.077.
I didn’t dare to act at that time.
But not long after, I opened a 20x long position on SUI at 0.93.
You can probably guess what happened next. The market collectively plunged last night, SUI followed down, and my account was almost liquidated. When I saw the floating loss this morning, I chose to close the position proactively.
Looking back now, I shouldn’t have opened that trade in the first place.
I didn’t short DOGE because I wasn’t confident. But later, when I opened the long SUI position, I wasn’t very confident either; I just felt like “the market might still go up a bit.” It turned out that when you can’t see the direction clearly, leverage only amplifies your uncertainty.
The market has been consolidating and oscillating these past two days, with the US AI sector plunging and crypto giving back post-election gains, swinging back and forth between longs and shorts. In this environment, the most dangerous thing isn’t being wrong about direction, but not even knowing why you entered the market while using high leverage.
After closing the position, I actually felt relieved.
Not because of how much I lost, but because I finally admitted: I don’t understand the market right now. Being out of the market isn’t admitting defeat; it’s taking back control. The market won’t punish you for being out, but high leverage in a choppy market will kick you out at the slightest hesitation.
I used to think not trading meant doing nothing. Now I increasingly feel that when direction is unclear and volatility is amplified by leverage, being out of the market is itself a strategy. At least it preserves your capital and lets you wait for the next opportunity you truly understand.
Have you recently experienced something similar? Someone warned you, but you still opened a position you shouldn’t have?

DOGE bounced from 0.0723 to 0.078, and I haven't dared to enter the market 😂
📉 On November 4, the low was 0.0723, and the high that day was 0.0784. Today it opened at 0.0773, peaked at 0.0779, and now it's back around 0.0765. The spike is over; no one is catching above 0.078.
It’s still down over 30 days, roughly down nearly 20%. The high on October 30 was only 0.0815, and it hasn’t even returned to that high. The bounce from 0.0723 is real, but it’s just a climb from the low, not a trend reversal.
📌 I focus on two numbers.
0.078 — the daily close above this level confirms this rebound. If it can’t hold, forget about 0.0815 for now.
0.072 — breaking below this invalidates this low. Today's low is 0.0763, still some distance from that line, but not far enough.
I’m not chasing at 0.078. If it can’t break through the same level, chasing means handing money to sellers above. If you’re long, the invalidation is below 0.072. If you’re short, don’t add positions in the middle of the range.
⏰ Do you have DOGE now? If yes, write your entry price. If not, just say no.

Last night I shorted OKB at 115, still holding spot, with a liquidation point at 130, but I still couldn't sleep.
Last night, OKB was around 115, I opened a short position while still holding spot in my account. The liquidation point was set at 130, theoretically leaving a buffer of over ten points, so the safety margin wasn't small. But after lying down, I still couldn't fall asleep, repeatedly calculating in my head "What if it suddenly spikes to 128?" "What if the news suddenly changes?" Eventually, I closed the short position with a small profit and slept peacefully.
This isn't the first time. When holding positions, especially when both short and spot exist simultaneously, the last one or two hours before sleep are the hardest. It's not fear of liquidation, but fear of being awakened by price fluctuations in the middle of the night and making wrong decisions in a half-asleep state. The liquidation point at 130 looks far, but emotionally it doesn't feel far at all.
What really gets drained isn't money, but sleep and decision quality.
Many people say, "The liquidation point is still at 130, what are you afraid of?" But in practice, most people don't get wiped out at the liquidation point, but before it. Because of poor sleep, judgment slows down the next day; because the position is always on the mind, it's easy to close when you shouldn't or add when you shouldn't. This time I chose to close with a small profit, essentially trading a bit of profit for sleep and clarity the next day.
This choice looks like "less profit" in the short term, but in the long term it avoids bigger emotional losses. The most expensive cost in trading isn't fees, but the trade made after several days of sleep deprivation.
A very common pitfall.
Many people take "having a safety margin" as a reason to sleep peacefully, but the safety margin only solves the math problem, not the psychological one. When you hold spot and open shorts simultaneously, essentially hedging, psychologically you often fantasize "I can profit on both sides." Once the price moves in one direction, anxiety starts on the other side. In this state, no matter how safe the position is, you can't sleep.
My current approach is simple: if a position keeps me from sleeping, I first handle it to a level where I can sleep,
even if it means earning a little less. Sleep is more valuable than those extra points.
Have you recently had trouble sleeping because of your position? How did you handle it in the end?
