The previous cycle never really had an altcoin season—ISM PMI told you why. It never entered the expansion zone. That’s the macro backdrop that stifled altcoins.
What about this time? The situation is different. ISM has been rising for several consecutive months, showing a trend similar to what we saw in 2016 and 2020. Both of those rallies led to 100x gains across the entire altcoin market.
I’ve been through enough cycles to know that once the macro trend turns, altcoins follow. ISM expansion = risk appetite recovery = capital rotation into small-cap assets. The overall picture is gradually becoming clearer.
Signals and ideal entry points still need confirmation, but the macro tailwind is definitely there. If ISM continues this trend, we could see another intense altcoin season. Stay disciplined, watch key price levels, but don’t ignore the message the data is sending. #索尼财报前瞻:游戏与音乐业务表现如何?
Four lesser-known facts about the crypto world that many only understand after losing money
First, the cost after averaging down is not a simple price average. For example, if you first buy 10,000 U at 10U, then buy another 10,000 U at 5U, some might say the average price is 7.5U. In reality, you bought 1,000 units the first time and 2,000 units the second time, with a total investment of 20,000 U and 3,000 units in total, so the cost is about 6.67U. Averaging down should be calculated based on the number of coins, not just a rough average.
Second, earning 1% daily sounds easy, but consistently doing so is very difficult. With 100,000 U compounded daily at 1% for 250 days, the theoretical amount is about 1.2 million, but this assumes daily profits with no drawdowns and no fees. From my experience, once a drawdown happens, your mindset and rhythm change. Compound interest is most vulnerable to interruptions, and trading is most vulnerable to self-deception.
Third, a high win rate does not equal high profits. A 60% win rate with 10% take profit and stop loss does not guarantee a 300% profit after 100 trades. Position size, risk-reward ratio, fees, and consecutive losses all affect the outcome. I've seen people with good win rates lose all previous profits in one heavy position. When looking at win rates, you must also consider how much is lost on each trade.
Fourth, higher leverage does not mean more professionalism. 20x is not a standard, and 100x is not a measure of courage. If the market moves against you, losses and forced liquidations happen very quickly.
My straightforward view: choosing coins and indicators is just the entry point; position sizing and loss management are the real skills to survive. Spot trading carries risks, and futures require even more caution. Don’t first calculate how much you can earn; first calculate how much you can afford to lose. If you can’t figure that out clearly, losing money is often not a surprise!
The four-year cycle that everyone has been talking about seems to no longer apply this time.
The last bear market bottoming process took a full 365 days to reach the bottom.
This time is different; it only took 273 days to hit the low point, shortening the bottom formation time by 25.2%.
Looking at the subsequent rebound phase: the last cycle took 486 days from the bottom to a new high.
Applying the same compression ratio to this cycle, it would be about 364 days, also shortened by 25.1%,
roughly 4 months faster than the last cycle.
To summarize simply: starting from this bottom, it will take about 364 days to reach a new high again, roughly around June to July 2027.
(By the way: it has already been 126 days since the bottom.)
Those who can still slowly accumulate coins should seize the opportunity; this rally will come earlier than many expect. #苹果Q4营收超预期,下季度毛利率指引承压
$BTC Tomorrow is the US midterm election vote counting, with results coming out Wednesday morning Beijing time. Polls are already very clear: the Democrats are very likely to take the House of Representatives, about 70% chance for the Senate, and roughly the same 70% chance to take both chambers. The killer for Bitcoin is that the market structure bill was already stuck in the Senate in September. If the Democrats take the Senate again, the Banking Committee chair will be replaced by Warren, who led opposition to this bill, so the bill has no chance of revival in 2027 or 2028.
Elon Musk has spent $445 million to support the Republicans, which also protects himself. The Democrats have long said that if they take both chambers, they will investigate his contracts and the previous government's efficiency department.
The market has been suppressed mainly for three reasons: 1️⃣ The Federal Reserve, which will meet at the end of October and likely hold steady, though two votes favor a rate hike. The probability of a rate hike in December is now set at 71%. 2️⃣ The day Binance was hacked, which directly pushed the price down to 765. 3️⃣ Election risk aversion, with money flowing out; spot funds had a net outflow of over $500 million in October. Bitcoin fell from 845 to around 779, dropping nearly 9% in 30 days, unable to break back above 82, showing continued weakness. But most of this negative impact has already been priced in, so it may not crash much more on the day. Negative news being realized could actually lead to a bounce. First, watch if it can hold above 80,000.
What is not priced in is the unexpected scenario of the Republicans holding the Senate, which is likely to trigger a strong but not very strong rebound. We will wait until both the election and the December 9 Federal Reserve meeting pass before making further judgments.
I have a friend who just entered the crypto world with 1500U to trade contracts, and unexpectedly turned it into 40,000U in two days. At that time, he felt like he had found the path to getting rich, and that making money was so fast.
But what happened later? Heavy positions, all-in bets, refusing to admit losses, the 40,000U slowly dwindled down to just a few hundred U. Even though he knew he should stop, he was never satisfied, always thinking the next trade would turn it all around.
The first thing he does every morning when he opens his eyes is check the market, watching it while eating, before sleeping, his phone practically glued to his hand. He says he won’t trade anymore, but once he sees market fluctuations, he can’t help but jump back in.
To be honest, what makes contract trading so addictive isn’t just making money, but the thrill of turning things around overnight. When you win, you want to win more; when you lose, you want to quickly recover your losses, and in the end, you can’t even take care of your normal life.
So, for a man trading crypto who wants to live a good life again, the first step isn’t studying indicators, but learning to stop. Don’t put all your focus on price ups and downs, and don’t pin your life’s hopes on the next trade.
Remember, money lost can be earned back slowly, but if your life is messed up, that’s truly not worth it.
$ETH looks bleak this week. I'll make a prediction, and you can vote. Looking at the MA lines, the golden line is about to cross the purple line, but the pink line is above the golden line. According to this trend, there might be a waterfall drop, possibly from 2400 down to 1850 within 4 days, or even lower. The rebound is weak, and with no positive news, this week will most likely be a waterfall drop.
Prediction for the East 8 time zone:
Tuesday morning at 8 AM, ETH around 2170
Thursday midnight, ETH around 1960
Friday afternoon, possibly hovering around 1750-1870 #Robinhood交易业务增长能否延续?
No one is bottom-fishing $DOGE at 79,000; everyone is waiting to go long at 77,777 and 73,888, and some at 75,888. It's normal for DOGE to drop to 0.06555–0.06200. Bitcoin will reach 90k, and DOGE's price around 0.12–0.10 is basically the high point of this cycle. Many of DOGE's partners have successively ended cooperation, leaving only retail investors maintaining it. There are news reports of whales bottom-fishing altcoins, but obviously none for DOGE. These words discourage those holding long positions. First, I apologize; I just want to warn brothers who haven't traded yet not to play DOGE anymore. I've been stuck and plan to take two years to break even and escape! I don't want new players to take the loss!
Bitcoin fell below 80,000, took a tumble, but my "three kids" not only didn't fall, they even bounced back twice.
What does this mean? Am I just lucky?
What is a quality asset? To give an example, recently I like to shop using the JD app; as long as I place an order before midnight, it arrives at my doorstep the next morning. Good experience, good quality, good service... The same principle applies to quality blockchain projects—they have real-world use cases, serve users, solve credit and trust issues, financial issues, security issues...
On top of that, especially in the late bull market, when Bitcoin falls, projects that resist the drop, or quickly rebound after falling, or those that remain stable while Bitcoin fluctuates, these assets explode with the trend and are quality assets. Here's a big hint—some projects in decentralized exchanges...
Markets are born in despair, and when your emotions follow despair, you will definitely miss out and be left behind. When others despair and you despair too, just echoing the crowd, that means you don't understand...
The most counterintuitive thing about the market is: the less people believe, the more it rises! The main forces create this effect to induce retail investors' fear and doubt—fear leads to selling at a loss, doubt leads to hesitation! Opportunities are precisely hidden in these "even dogs shake their heads" market conditions.
My account hasn't moved much, which means I haven't chosen the wrong side, but it proves I'm right; it just needs time to verify.
$AAVE dropped 8.7% in a week, falling to $135. It should have shrunk in volume and given up waiting to die, but the volume is about the same as usual.
This is the most frustrating part. If it really fell with no one buying, it would mean the chips have completely changed hands; but this lukewarm volume means everyone is just placing orders and playing dead, no one willing to let go first. Looking further back, those who bought 90 days ago are still up over 30%, their unrealized gains not fully realized, so the selling pressure is always hanging there.
Last week, a whale transferred 35,000 tokens into the exchange, and such moves are never just for admiring the interface.
Many people are fixated on the date 11.3, saying that funds are unwilling to move until that time. In reality, November 3rd is just when the voting window opens. After that, there are still vote counting, reconciliation, certification, and finally the confirmation of congressional seats. The new Congress will not be sworn in until January 2027. So do you think funds are currently seeking safety? At least before November 3rd, they are not. This is just a market illusion to make you think that the main players will only act on November 3rd. Therefore, before that, there will definitely be a good upward move to induce short covering. The real risk aversion will most likely occur around mid-November, when funds, due to some potential insider information or uncertainty, will buy long-term put options or short the market. So that is when we need to clear our positions, not now, just because of November 3rd. If you do that, you will only become fuel for #Robinhood交易业务增长能否延续?
