Ethereum scaling is not simply a race to process more transactions. Arbitrum’s broader challenge is converting lower transaction costs into durable application activity, deeper liquidity, and a compelling developer environment. Competition from other Layer-2 networks remains intense. If ecosystem incentives fade, organic demand becomes the more revealing measure of whether its infrastructure delivers lasting value.
