About BTCRallyOrSqueeze
BTC's months-long low-volatility spell ended fast, with OKX spot BTC/USDT topping $75,000 in 24h. The surge triggered widespread short liquidations, with estimates nearing $3B across crypto. Flows improved too: on Aug 19, US spot BTC and ETH ETFs drew about $706M combined, including $517M for BTC and $189M for ETH. Is this a short-squeeze spike or a trend recovery powered by ETF and spot demand? If volume and stablecoin liquidity lag, profit-taking and rebuilt leverage could magnify volatility.

Before you get giga bullish, please read this.
Bitcoin pumped +15% in the last 4 days, flipping short-term momentum ultra-bullish, but this does not fully cancel the risk of a Q4 correction and bottom.

Bitcoin & Ethereum Surge: What’s Driving the Rally? $BTC $ETH
The current rally in $BTC and $ETH is not simply FOMO. Three forces are converging: crowded short positions creating conditions for a short squeeze, expectations of improving U.S. liquidity supporting risk assets, and a more crypto-friendly policy direction from Washington strengthening confidence. As $BTC breaks key resistance, momentum could spread into $ETH and altcoins. The market is heating up, but volatility remains high.

Crypto rallied sharply today as $BTC Bitcoin jumped roughly 8%, briefly touching about $70,000 for its biggest move since March, before settling near $68,500–$69,500. The move liquidated an estimated $1.4B–$1.7B of short positions and was driven by a mix of lower-yield pressure from Treasury buybacks, regulatory optimism, and today’s White House crypto meeting. $ETH Ethereum, $SOL Solana.

DON’T WATCH THE CANDLES — WATCH HOW THE MARKET ABSORBS SELLING
$BTC touched $79.5K before pulling back to $76.9K, but it is still holding above the MA5/10/20. More importantly, the order book shows heavy sell liquidity above $77K, yet price has not been pushed sharply lower. Meanwhile, $ETH pulled back from $2,448 to around $2,377.
if BTC keeps absorbing the sell wall without losing $75K–$76K, this may be post-breakout accumulation rather than distribution.
$BTC is absolutely flying 🚀 Price broke above the range VAH and continued as expected, with the 78.2K area now in sight. After ~46 days of compression, a 20% pump is no surprise—but chasing here isn’t my game. Price is extended, so I’m waiting for exhaustion or a retest/deviation around the 79.3K range high for shorts. For longs, 72.3K mid-range remains my main POI. Patience is key. 🎯📊#BTCRallyOrSqueeze #AnthropicIPONears #PopMartEarningsWatch

$BTC
Seems like we won't get the perfect bullish retest, because shorts keep becoming the fuel to push the price up and this is a solid strong move.
$BTC : Short Squeeze or Real Breakout?
$BTC just ripped above $78K, while $ETH reclaimed $2,400 and $SOL broke $90.
Over $800M was liquidated in 24H, with shorts accounting for roughly $670M.
That explains the speed of the move.
But now comes the real test: spot demand.
If ETF inflows keep accelerating, this squeeze could turn into a sustainable breakout. If buying fades, $78K could become a short-term exhaustion zone.
I’m watching spot volume and ETF flows more than the green candles.
The Short Squeeze Nobody Wants to Chase
BTC just ripped from $64K to $73K, while ETH pushed above $2,340. And the liquidation numbers are insane: around $3.3B wiped out, with shorts making up roughly 92% of the damage. 🔥
But don’t get trapped by the “$160B entered the market” narrative.
This looks much more like a massive short squeeze than a wave of fresh spot capital. Forced short covering can make the chart look unstoppable—until the forced buying runs out.
