📉 Today's rebound is short covering, not new inflows.
In the past 24 hours, BTC liquidations reached 68.56 million, with shorts accounting for 70.9%; ETH liquidations were 58.61 million, shorts 62.2%.
But altcoins liquidated were mostly longs—"other" coins had 50.62 million liquidations with longs at 83.2%.
ETF daily net value shifted from a net outflow of 65.4 million to a net inflow of 6.7 million.
Mechanism: The probability of a rate hike on October 28 dropped from 70% to 19%, easing dollar pressure and prompting shorts to retreat first.
On Orbit, on day 13 of the "10U Challenge," Peak Brother's desperate cliff 🇺🇸 wrote last night "aiming for 85,000." This is the position shorts gave up.
KOSPI fell 5.46% yesterday and rebounded 2% today.
Last night I gave a range of 81,000–84,500, with a 12-hour low of 81,032.8 and a high of 84,166.3.
Tonight at 20:30 CPI is expected year-over-year 3.4% → 3.6–3.7%. (Personal opinion, not investment advice)
My prediction: Core month-over-month ≤0.2%, BTC hits 84,500–85,500 within 24 hours; ≥0.3% looks at 82,000.
Short covering can pull height but not trend.
Do you think it will break 84,500 first tonight, or return to 82,000 first?
$BTC $ETH #SeptemberCPIReleaseComingSaylor is out again shouting about 100,000.
He said $BTC already bottomed below 60,000, now back in the 80,000 range, and can break 100,000 again later, with an annual increase of 20% to 30% in the coming years.
Sounds pretty encouraging.
But if you break down what he said, the really interesting part isn’t the price prediction, it’s the latter part — MSCI wants to change index rules, possibly kicking out companies like Strategy that mainly rely on hoarding coins rather than operating profits from the global index, and he’s panicking.
To put it simply, part of his bullishness is faith, part is that his wealth is tied up in it, and if the index kicks them out, the buying volume will drop significantly.
So I’m cautious this round.
He says it’s bottomed, I believe half of it. He says he’ll keep accumulating, I believe that too. But the more someone is desperate to keep the rules from changing, the tighter that leash is.
Whether 100,000 can be reached again, who knows, first let’s see if MSCI accepts him.

#$BTC September CPI to be released tonight
The Federal Reserve may continue to raise interest rates!
At 20:30 tonight, the U.S. will release the September CPI data.
The market currently expects the September CPI to rise 3.6% year-on-year, higher than the previous 3.4%; core CPI is expected to rise 2.5% year-on-year, also higher than the previous 2.4%.
Cleveland Fed President Harker recently emphasized again that to bring inflation back to the 2% target, the Federal Reserve still needs to raise interest rates further.
The biggest problem right now is energy prices. $CL oil prices remain high, which may cause overall inflation to accelerate again, and core inflation has not fully cooled down.
This CPI release is very important for BTC, $XAU gold, and U.S. stocks.
If the data exceeds expectations, the market may further increase bets on a rate hike in December, and risk assets will remain under short-term pressure.
But I do not intend to panic sell before the data is released. Recent rate hike expectations have repeatedly affected the market. Tonight, besides watching the CPI itself, it is more important to see if $BTC can hold the lows of the past few days after the data release. #BTC and ETH spot ETFs are flowing out simultaneously, has institutional demand weakened? In this rebound, BTC alone carries the banner, while other major coins only recover from low levels.
In this divergent market, who is really leading this rebound? Market data provides a clear answer: risk aversion among funds remains evident.
From 101.63 rising to 108.56, the rebound from the low is impressive, but there is still about a 3% gap from the 24-hour opening price of 112.19, and the resistance at 113.12 has not yet been touched.
From 2409 rebounding to 2532, the low-level recovery is decent but has not reclaimed the 2560 opening position, with clear pressure at 2580 above.
From 81033 rising to 83700, only 0.3% below the 24-hour opening price of 83983, this is the best recovery among the three, as under uncertainty funds prioritize flowing to the most liquid assets.
This is a BTC-driven recovery, not a comprehensive market risk appetite rebound. Only when all three simultaneously break key price levels will funds spread to high Beta coins; if only BTC strengthens while others lag, it only indicates funds seeking safety in BTC.
The core observation level for this round is BTC 84360.
$BTC $ETH $SOL 💥 Don't rush to buy, 65% of the bulls haven't been wiped out yet
$BTC $ETH $ZEC
A sharp drop followed by a rebound—do you think the market is giving an opportunity? Wake up, this is the whales testing the waters, seeing how much selling pressure remains, and shaking out retail investors.
The ETH long-short ratio tells the story: 65.79% of accounts are long, only 34.21% are short. When the price dropped near 2500, retail investors thought it was cheap and rushed to go long. But the market is counterintuitive; the more unified retail is, the less likely the big players will push up. This 65% bulls are ready fuel; if they don't get burned out, the market won't bottom.
On-chain data isn't optimistic either: ETH spot ETFs saw a net outflow of $542 million last week, with BlackRock alone withdrawing $477 million; Ethereum Foundation-related wallets transferred 4393 ETH to exchanges, and F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun also moved 2160 ETH. Institutions are withdrawing, whales are running, and buying power has long vanished.
Price is grinding back and forth near 2500, moving averages all pressing overhead, each rebound weaker than the last. This kind of exhaustion will most likely end with a big bearish candle smashing through 2400. As long as retail investors aren't desperate, the real bottom won't appear.
Don't catch the falling knife, don't bottom-fish; going short with the trend is the hard truth.
How many more days do you think this 65% bulls can hold out?

#BTC and ETH spot ETFs see simultaneous outflows, is institutional demand weakening?
#September CPI release imminent, Harker says further rate hikes are still needed
⚠️ Personal review, not investment advice. The market suddenly quieted down, and no one is willing to take the first step. Do you feel the same way, where the red light hasn't turned green yet, but your foot is already pulled back? Last night, staring at the screen, BTC 83406, ETH 2550, SOL 111, XAUT 4171, all in red. But what really made me stop wasn't the candlestick chart, it was three things pulling at the back simultaneously. The first is geopolitics and oil prices. The Strait of Hormuz is restricted, pipelines attacked, pushing oil prices up, and the G7 released 100 million barrels from reserves to suppress prices. Gold has safe-haven properties, but with the US dollar strengthening and US Treasury yields high, the rise is being suppressed. XAUT is tugging back and forth around 4171, holding steady but unable to break out. This stalemate itself indicates that safe-haven funds aren't that confident either. The second is inflation and interest rates, which is the real starting gun. CPI and PPI are about to be released. Core CPI at 0.2% means the Fed can remain patient; at 0.3%, there will be arguments again; at 0.4%, rate hike expectations will be repriced, and risk assets will come under pressure. The 10-year US Treasury yield is 5.36%, cash yields a steady 5% for one year, so who still wants to buy things that don't generate cash flow? This is a bit harsh, but it is the most real opposing force right now. The third is institutional funds, which determine the quality of the rebound. BTC ETF saw an outflow of 678 million in the first week, ETH had nine consecutive days of net outflows, and SOL ended 14 weeks of net inflows. These are not small numbers; they tell me that marginal buying is retreating, at least temporarily. I've noted the key positions:September CPI to be released tonight

At 20:30 tonight, the U.S. will release the September CPI data.
The market currently expects the September CPI to rise 3.6% year-on-year, higher than the previous 3.4%; core CPI is expected to rise 2.5% year-on-year, also higher than the previous 2.4%.

$BTC and $ETH spot ETFs are both seeing outflows
Are institutional funds retreating?
The crypto market has been continuously declining recently, and ETF funds are also showing significant changes.
According to Farside data, on October 7, the US Bitcoin spot ETF had a single-day net outflow of $484.9 million, followed by a continued outflow of $244.1 million on October 8.
On October 12, the Bitcoin ETF again saw a net outflow of $65.4 million. The Ethereum ETF had a net outflow of about $85.4 million on the same day, totaling approximately $150.8 million in combined outflows.
Previously, the market regarded spot ETFs as the most important incremental source of funds for this bull market, but recent data shows that institutional funds are also affected by the macro environment.
Especially with the Federal Reserve reconsidering rate hikes and the dollar and US Treasury yields remaining high, it is not surprising that funds temporarily leave high-volatility assets.
However, continuous outflows do not mean that institutions have completely abandoned the crypto market.
What I care more about is whether ETF funds can turn positive again after BTC prices stabilize. If prices rebound but funds continue to flow out, the sustainability of such a rebound is questionable. $ETH leads the mainstream, with money flowing into the Ethereum ecosystem. $BTC current price is $83,387, up 2.52% in 24 hours; $ETH rose 3.53% to $2,506.47, with a turnover rate of 3.95%, more than twice BTC's 1.82%. On the gainers list, $OP rose 24.43% with a turnover of 56.88%, ZK rose 12.21% with a turnover of 37.81%, showing increased volume on Ethereum Layer 2 on the same day.
The breadth of the rebound is not yet sufficient. The total market cap is $2.83 trillion, down 1.12% in 24 hours, with the deepest decline only -10.04%, and gains concentrated in a few coins. $BAT rose 27.72%, but the funding rate is -0.37%, indicating shorts are adding positions as prices rise; a rally under negative funding rates is likely to be followed by a pullback. BLUR funding rate is -1.04%.
In the next 48 hours, Ethereum ecosystem is expected to outperform the broader market. There are two critical thresholds: if ETH's 24-hour gain falls below BTC's, this line breaks; and only when the total market cap change turns positive from -1.12% can a full rebound be considered. On October 13, the US stock market experienced another trading day that appeared calm on the surface but was turbulent underneath. The S&P 500 barely moved, but chips and banks held the market down, with trading focused on "whether earnings can continue to support the highs" rather than the direction itself. The S&P 500 closed at 7805.45, down 0.02%; the Dow Jones at 51670.10, down 0.35%; and the Nasdaq at 27204.38, down 0.15%. It was less than 0.2% away from the record high of 7818.93 on October 6. On the surface, it was a slight decline, but in reality, it was a pullback after wide fluctuations—the Dow once surged several hundred points intraday but was ultimately pushed back down. The bank earnings season officially began, with the result being "good news can't be sold." Goldman Sachs exceeded expectations, but its stock price barely moved; JPMorgan Chase had a rare miss, falling nearly 1%; Wells Fargo's net interest income fell short of expectations, dropping about 3%; Citigroup, despite posting its best third-quarter revenue in ten years, saw its stock fall over 5%. The earnings themselves were not bad, but the market had already priced in "stability," lacking a narrative of growth exceeding expectations. More notably, the chip sector declined. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell for the fifth consecutive day, with Micron down nearly 4% and Applied Materials down nearly 7%. The catalyst was progress by China's ChangXin Memory in next-generation storage architecture, combined with Broadcom's CEO's earlier comment that AI capital spending is "like a casino." Storage and equipment stocks led the decline, holding the Nasdaq down. The AI theme has risen significantly this year, and the market is becoming sensitive to "how much more it can rise" rather than simply looking at demand. Sector-wise, energy and communication services strengthened, partially offsetting the declines.【$BTC market dominance stands above 60% again, altcoins are drained before they even recover】
Bitcoin's market dominance has climbed back above 60%, but don't rush to celebrate BTC's bull return. On October 13, data from different platforms showed BTC dominance around 59.7% to 60.4%, while the total market cap shrank about 2.8% in 24 hours. This looks more like altcoins have fallen harder than BTC, so BTC passively gained a larger market share.
Funds haven't signaled a full-scale attack either. On October 12, the US spot BTC ETF saw a net outflow of $65.4 million, indicating institutional buying hasn't returned to take over yet. Currently, money prefers to hold BTC rather than gamble on highly volatile altcoins.
I tend to believe that in the short term, BTC still has the advantage while altcoins remain under pressure. Market dominance breaking 60% is not the start of an altcoin season; rather, it shows risk appetite hasn't recovered yet. However, if BTC stabilizes and rises, market dominance then falls back, and altcoins start to rally broadly, that would be a signal of capital diffusion. Otherwise, don't just look at BTC's rebound and assume all coins will take off together.#After the Unichain handover, UNI enters the expected game phase
1.2 years, this Uniswap self-developed L2 completes its lifecycle and is handed over to Optimism for operation, marking the project’s contraction of its front and refocusing on the DEX core business. This phase is usually accompanied by a narrative decline in the market, continuous weakness in funding rates, a slow decline in total positions, and holders no longer pricing based on new chain stories but relying on the protocol’s trading volume and the long-term expectations of the fee switch to make judgments.
The protocol’s trading volume remains high, but token holders cannot share cash flow, and the fee switch has been undecided for many years. Previously, Unichain was the market’s core incremental narrative; after the narrative fades, the target can only rely on periodic capital pulses, and the market often falls silent again after a rebound.
The core constraint of this round of the market is not the on-chain trading scale but the regulatory definition of the fee switch. Before the rules are implemented, light holdings face limited pressure, while heavy long-term holdings are prone to sustained losses. The signal for phase transition comes from the regulatory definition related to the fee switch. The most important price level to watch now is $7.
$UNI $BTC $ETH $SOL Win rate is only 40%, yet earned 4.78 million
Just reviewed BitLangLang's 4804 trades from May 2022 to June 2024. Three numbers defy common sense.
1. Win rate is only 40%
1964 profitable trades, 2803 losing trades — 839 more losses.
But he still made money: average profit 5008, average loss 1534, profit-loss ratio 3.27.
Making money relies not on win rate, but on odds.
2. 42% of trades don’t last more than 5 minutes
2030 trades were cut within 5 minutes, 77% don’t last over 30 minutes.
Median holding time: 7 minutes.
3. Almost all his money was earned from 54 trades
Grouped by holding time:
· 4 to 24 hours: 256 trades, gross profit 1.749 million
· Over 1 day: 54 trades, gross profit 2.539 million
· The 2030 trades within 5 minutes only earned 3162 USD combined
54 trades account for only 1.1%, yet contributed 45.9% of the profit.
His most traded assets are $BTC (1036 trades), $ETH (404 trades), $PEPE (255 trades).
Net profit of 4.786 million in two years, these three numbers actually tell the same story
This is not luck, it’s discipline. Cut losses fast, hold on, let the odds speak for you. ETH shows a "weak rebound, underperforming BTC" pattern today, currently trading around $2,500–2,520, basically flat or slightly up in 24 hours, but down about 6.4% for the week.
The core issue is the absence of institutional demand. The US spot ETH ETF has seen net outflows for 10 consecutive trading days, with a cumulative withdrawal exceeding $780 million, led mainly by BlackRock's ETHA. This means the rebound lacks institutional buying support. Compared to BTC's performance in the same period, ETH is clearly weaker—while BTC rose about 1.35% that day, ETH actually declined.
Positive changes have appeared in the derivatives market. Open interest has dropped 15.9% over 5 days, reducing long crowding; the funding rate is near zero, indicating a thorough leverage cleanup and lowering the risk of further sharp declines. However, the cost is a corresponding weakening of rebound momentum, with the market entering a "no leverage, no inflow" quiet state.
Key levels: The $2,400 support below has been repeatedly tested since March and is pivotal; after a wick to this area yesterday, a quick rebound followed. The $2,520–2,600 range above forms a short-term resistance band. ETH/BTC has shown oversold signals but no confirmed reversal yet. Tonight's CPI data is the core variable determining direction; if inflation exceeds expectations, ETH may retest the $2,400 level again.

$BTC $ETH $SOL $DOGE has a rarely mentioned flaw: with a market cap of over thirteen billion, ranking in the top ten, 70% of its total trading volume is concentrated in just two exchanges, with Binance alone accounting for more than one-third.
Among large market cap coins, this level of concentration is an anomaly. Normally, the larger the market cap, the more dispersed the market makers are, with liquidity spread across dozens of platforms. DOGE is the opposite — it looks like a big market, but the actual buy and sell orders are thin and concentrated in just a few pools. This is no coincidence; it shows that market makers are unwilling to spread their inventory to long-tail platforms because, apart from those few, there’s hardly any trading activity elsewhere.
The consequence is straightforward. When the market is stable, the difference isn’t noticeable, but once the order books of the leading exchanges thin out, DOGE’s slippage becomes much worse compared to mainstream coins with similar market caps. You might think you’re buying a highly liquid leader, but in reality, you’re buying the depth of just a couple of exchanges.
Looking at the bigger picture: it has dropped 60% over the year, falling from 0.11 to 0.084 in a month, which is exactly the lower boundary of the 30-day range. The meme sector’s overall hype has cooled this year, and DOGE, as the pioneer, has already told its story once; the new narrative to take over hasn’t arrived yet.
0.08 is a key round number and has been repeatedly tested during this decline; 0.09 above is a resistance level. Until trading volume outside these two exchanges truly grows, its price elasticity will have to be discounted. The US is about to release the September CPI data, and I've heard there might be another rate hike this year. It's no wonder the crypto prices can't go up!😩
It's making it hard to even get a good night's sleep! When interest rates are high, buying government bonds guarantees steady returns, so who would want to throw money into non-yielding Bitcoin?🤔️
$BTC is currently holding the key level of 81,000, consolidating between 80,000 and 85,000 for now.
Since October, ETFs have seen continuous net outflows, does this mean institutions are also pulling out?🤔️
$ETH is weaker than Bitcoin, hovering around 2,500, also in a volatile consolidation phase, with ETFs flowing out as well, which is quite frustrating.
$SOL has fallen even harder, dropping from 120 down to around 107, a weekly decline of over 10%, ending a streak of 14 consecutive weeks of ETF net inflows, the performance is indeed not looking good.
The crypto market really needs incremental capital inflows to usher in a true bull market.
Given the current situation, a big rally is unlikely in the short term! #9月CPI公布在即,哈玛克称仍需进一步加息 $BTC Long positions are twice as many as short positions
On the same chart, two groups stand opposite each other.
Longs have piled up $187 million, shorts only $98 million.
How is this number calculated: the long-short difference is close to $90 million, deducing from this, longs are nearly twice the shorts.
Who is placing orders here: longs have an unrealized profit of $18.15 million, shorts an unrealized loss of $9.75 million.
The losing side is not because of wrong direction, but because their position size is smaller than the opposite side.
In 30 minutes, sell orders total $51.63 million, buy orders $19.03 million.
The selling pressure is not new shorts entering, but longs converting profits into cash.
Once profit-taking starts, every step the price moves down, more longs want to exit.
When many run, a stampede on themselves happens.

During previous CPI release periods, concentrated short position covering was the main driver of market rebounds, not new capital inflows. The essence of market competition is interest rate expectation pricing; for every 0.1 percentage point rise in core CPI, rate hike expectations quickly increase. The market had already priced in hawkish expectations with a prior decline, so the data release triggers short covering.
This week's CPI, focus on capital choices: overall data is affected by rising oil prices, core inflation remains moderate, so capital will most likely clear longs first then recover. Ethereum's position is more unstable, its pullback elasticity usually exceeds Bitcoin's. No need to pre-bet before data release; if inflation is high, wait for a pullback; if inflation weakens, follow the trend, confirming capital direction with the first 15-minute K-line high after data release.
If Bitcoin holds 83300, capital may test 85000; if it breaks below 82500, the 80,000 level will be tested. Do you think capital will continue the previous covering pattern after this CPI release?

Recently in the crypto space, there's a phenomenon worth noting:
📉 Last week, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw a net outflow of about $679 million, and Ethereum ETFs had a net outflow of about $542 million.
In just one week, the two major mainstream coin ETFs lost over $1.2 billion combined.
Here’s the question:
The price hasn't continued to crash, so why are institutional funds still pulling out?
🔍 I believe the market is undergoing three changes:
① Funds are becoming cautious
Continuous ETF outflows indicate some institutions are reducing risk exposure rather than rushing to bet on the next rally.
② Macro factors are dominating the market again
The Fed's policy expectations lean hawkish, and pressure from the dollar and U.S. Treasury yields is depriving the crypto market of sustained upward momentum.
③ The real test is yet to come
The U.S. CPI will be released on October 14.
If inflation exceeds expectations, risk assets may come under pressure again; if the data is moderate, the market might get a chance to catch its breath.
💡 My view:
The biggest danger now is not a decline, but mistaking every rebound for a bull market restart.
Next, focus on whether ETF funds can flow back and whether BTC can hold key positions during the rebound.
The market never lacks opportunities; what it lacks is the patience to wait for them.
💬 Do you think BTC is bottoming this time or is it a continuation of the downtrend?
#BTC #Bitcoin #ETH #CryptoMarket #Cryptocurrency #FederalReserveCan the rebound still be chased? The buying pressure for BTC, ETH, and SOL has already started to diverge!
This morning, we need to pay attention to a change: the 24-hour data still shows quite a bit of green, but in the last hour, both spot and futures for BTC, ETH, and SOL have turned into net outflows. Short-term selling pressure has become active again.
① BTC: There is support, but also selling pressure
24-hour spot net inflow is about $95.65 million, futures net inflow about $91.86 million.
Zooming into 1 hour, spot net outflow is about $48.64 million, futures net outflow $229 million. Buying pressure remains throughout the day, but short-term selling pressure is also obvious. Next, we need to see if the spot can continue to hold.
② ETH: Futures are hot, spot is cold
24-hour futures net inflow is $415 million, but spot net outflow is about $89.43 million.
I will focus on this contrast. Active buying in futures can come from opening longs or closing shorts. For the rebound to be more stable, spot buying needs to catch up.
③ SOL: Bought all day, selling started short-term
24-hour spot net inflow is about $30.07 million, futures net inflow about $26.07 million.
In the last hour, both sides have net outflows, and the 4-hour trend is also weak, indicating the sustainability of buying pressure still needs observation.
My view: The rebound has support, but slow down chasing the short-term rally. Going forward, focus on whether the 1-hour selling pressure can contract and whether the 4-hour spot buying can strengthen.
The 24-hour green light cannot be directly taken as a pass for the next hour's rise. Futures carry risks; be cautious when opening positions!Stop blindly trusting that “hardware wallets are absolutely secure.”
According to Decrypt, Ledger disclosed a case involving the theft of approximately $86 million in assets: a hidden LTE module was found inside the device, which can directly read the 24 mnemonic words displayed on the screen during initialization, while the Secure Element and its firmware remained untouched throughout.
Two observations: First, this attack bypassed the secure chip and intercepted the user’s step of copying the mnemonic words from the screen, striking at the end of the trust chain; second, the spot market for $BTC and $ETH remains relatively neutral, but the narrative around hardware wallets and self-custody is under pressure. Going forward, manufacturers will likely need to add physical tamper-proof verification for the screen and initialization process, and demands for firmware audits and supply chain security will also increase. Reminder: after generating mnemonic words, do not reproduce them on any device that can connect to the internet or be tampered with; addresses suspected to be affected should be migrated and have their mnemonic words changed as soon as possible.
Are you more worried about supply chain tampering, or about being targeted during the step of copying your mnemonic words?23.8%.
Just looking at this number, market makers would laugh.
The probability of a rate hike in October is less than a quarter; frankly, the market doesn't believe the Fed dares to move.
Recall last month, this number was still fluctuating above 40%. Now it's been cut in half.
Money is the most honest; it has already written the answer for the Fed.
From a market-making perspective, what does such a low probability mean?
It means no one is willing to bet on a rate hike. Option pricing has long since flattened out.
If a rate hike really happens, the first to crash won't be the coin price, but those institutions betting on interest rates.
So at this point, I'm leaning optimistic.
But don't get ahead of yourself; low probability doesn't mean it won't happen.
There was a time last year when the market priced just over 20%, and then the hike actually happened, leaving everyone stunned.
My current stance is simple: no chasing highs, but also no bearish bets.
Wait for the October meeting to conclude before deciding.
Fellow folks in the circle, do you really think the Fed dares to move this time?

If it pushes up to 2636, leveraged short positions will be forced to close, about 878 million 💥, which can easily trigger a rapid surge.
If it breaks down below 2401, long positions face liquidation, about 553 million 💥, possibly causing an instant crash.
Before the price leaves this range, both bulls and bears are adding positions, and volatility can expand at any time. Pin bar moves often defy logic, with a single candlestick wiping out both sides 🕯️.
For those trading with leverage, don’t overload your positions or hold on stubbornly; spot traders should avoid chasing highs or panicking sells. Moves driven by liquidations come fast and retreat just as quickly 🏃.
$BTC is similarly driven by sentiment, with the market entering a tug-of-war phase. The best action now is not to guess direction but to control your trades, reduce leverage, and wait for confirmation 👀.

@OKX星球 $814 million liquidations, $686 million from longs. This is not an ordinary leverage cleanup but a systemic de-risking triggered by the interplay of macro interest rates and Asian stock markets. While U.S. Treasury yields remain firmly above 5.3%, the valuation anchor for risk assets is being recalibrated — yet most are still focused on candlestick charts, unaware that true pricing power has returned to the bond market. In the afternoon, Asian stock markets accelerated their decline, causing liquidation volumes to snowball. This cross-market transmission chain is worth watching: stock market drops suppress risk appetite, forcing highly leveraged longs in crypto markets to liquidate, which in turn amplifies the downturn. $BTC long liquidations, $ETH long liquidations, $ZEC long liquidations — the three major mainstream and privacy sectors are simultaneously under pressure, indicating this is not an issue isolated to individual coins but a collective contraction of overall risk exposure. The most glaring signal lies in the long-short structure: $686 million in long liquidations versus $128 million in short liquidations, a ratio exceeding 5:1. This means the market was heavily biased toward longs, and once the direction reverses, a stampede is almost inevitable. Crowded long trades themselves are a risk; when everyone is on the same side, liquidity becomes the scarcest resource. Some pin their last hopes on the CPI data at 14.10. This precisely exposes the current market fragility — when trading logic degenerates from fundamental narratives to gambling on a single macro data point, position management gives way to emotional speculation. If CPI cools down, it may temporarily ease yield pressure; if it exceeds expectations, the 5.3% yield combined with weak Asian stock markets will lead to de-risking.$ETH Crypto Market Today (October 14, 2026)
Wednesday Crypto Circle: Asian session dipped to 80.9k, European and American sessions pulled back to 83k, Fear and Greed Index dropped from 69 to 57. Tonight's US CPI is the starting gun—don't get ahead of yourself before the data, don't chase the wick after the data.
Today's Summary:
"On the eve of CPI: Asian session spike washed out longs, European and American sessions pulled $ETH back to 83k."
Last night 24h liquidations ~672 million (longs 586 million), Korean Kospi -6%+ spooked risk assets, but BTC didn't break the previous low of 80.4k → leverage cleaned out, waiting for data.
Macro anchors: US 10Y at 5.21%, DXY 102.2, Brent oil 105.7 (pulling back), gold 4177; 20:30 US September CPI (expected YoY 3.6%–3.7%, core 2.5%) is this week's starting gun.
Trading mantra:
Before CPI: Hold at 83k, no chasing; 82k has support for small positions.
If volume breaks through 84.2k → target 85k–87k.
Break below 80.9k / ETH 2.45k → look down to 80.4k / 2.408k, deleverage $BTC $ETH The most vulnerable link has never been the CPI number itself, but that everyone is focused on the same number. If even "meeting expectations" can trigger a spike, guess whose position will hurt first? I've been watching the derivatives market these past two days, and it's even more nerve-wracking than watching the candlesticks. BTC is pinned around 83K, with a liquidation zone just above and below, like dancing on thin ice. ETH is even more interesting; whales have quietly accumulated 166,000 coins, while ETFs have seen outflows of 635 million. On one side, spot believers are buying in; on the other, paper hands are withdrawing. SOL has bounced 6% from the low, looking lively, but it feels more like short-covering fireworks than a signal of trend reversal. The market is not trading the 3.6% figure right now, but rather where you place your stop loss. When consensus is too crowded, even if the data fully meets expectations, it will first wipe out a batch of leverage before choosing a direction. This is the most dangerous aspect from a derivatives perspective: it's not that the direction is wrong, but the pace throws you off the train first. The bullish path is actually quite clear. As long as CPI doesn't explode, BTC can hold above 84.2K, short squeezes will turn into fuel, ETH whales' accumulation will shift from "secret buying" to "chasing buys," and SOL's rebound has a chance to turn from a dead cat bounce into real recovery. Risk appetite will spill from the leaders to altcoins a bit, but it won't be a flood—more like precise irrigation. But the bearish risks are also deeply hidden. There are a bunch of stop losses hanging below 81.7K; market makers will likely hunt that area first before deciding whether to pull up. If ETH ETF outflows continue, even whales' ability to absorb will be depleted. That 6% rebound in SOL, volumeWhy Doesn't "Gold in Turbulent Times" Show Strength? Multiple Forces Compete Behind the Scenes, Inflation Data Determines Short-Term Direction
On Tuesday (October 13), the international gold market was largely calm, with spot gold slightly retreating to around $4160, and US December gold futures closing lower in tandem. On the surface, market trading was quiet, but beneath the surface, bullish and bearish forces were fiercely competing.
A missile attack on Saudi Aramco's headquarters triggered a surge in oil prices, hitting a two-week high and intensifying market inflation concerns, further strengthening expectations for Fed rate hikes this year, which put clear pressure on gold prices. However, the dollar's pullback from highs provided some relief for gold.
The entire market is holding its breath awaiting this week's key US inflation data and Federal Reserve officials' speeches. Gold is currently being pulled by three forces: geopolitical tensions, monetary policy expectations, and energy price fluctuations. The upcoming data may directly determine gold's short-term trajectory. In early Asian trading on Wednesday, spot gold continued to face pressure, trading around $4155/oz.
Middle East Conflict Escalates Again, Attack Disrupts Oil Prices, Gold Faces Dual Effects
Geopolitical risk remains an unavoidable variable in the gold market. Houthi ballistic missiles struck Saudi Aramco's headquarters in Dammam, causing fires and damage to upper floors. As the world's largest oil giant, Saudi Aramco controls vast global oil and gas production resources. The attack on its core facilities instantly ignited market fears of crude supply disruptions.
Recently, shipping risks in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait have risen, and the security of this vital energy route directly affects global oil transport costs. Coupled with multiple attacks on Riyadh airport, regional conflicts have escalated, pushing international oil prices sharply higher to a two-week peak.
Rising oil prices transmit downstream through refined products and diesel industries, raising market concerns about renewed inflation. For gold, the geopolitical crisis presents a contradictory dual impact:
War itself generates safe-haven buying, theoretically bullish for gold; but soaring oil prices drive inflation, forcing the Fed to maintain tight policies, raising real interest rates and suppressing the valuation of interest-free assets like gold. Currently, the market focuses more on the latter, with rate hike expectations outweighing safe-haven benefits.
A Deutsche Bank analyst noted that rate hikes are a double-edged sword for gold. Short-term higher rates increase the opportunity cost of holding gold; but long-term high rates worsen government debt burdens and debt risks, which in the long run support gold allocation.
Fed Officials' Views Diverge, Market Bets on Slower Rate Hike Pace
Monetary policy expectations remain the core driver of gold prices. The Fed raised rates to 3.75%-4.00% in September. Recently, signals from Fed officials have diverged, cooling expectations for aggressive hikes.
Boston Fed President Collins supports the September hike and believes a small additional hike is needed before year-end to bring inflation back to the 2% target. He also warned that Middle East conflicts pushing energy prices, tariffs, and AI infrastructure investment will make the fight against inflation more challenging.
New York Fed President Williams takes a cautious stance, indicating possibly one more hike in 2026 but no further tightening in 2027, expecting inflation to fall significantly near target next year. Fed Governor Waller also said rising US Treasury yields are more due to economic and AI investment factors, with inflation expectations still manageable.
CME FedWatch data shows only a 20% chance of a rate hike at the October meeting, but an 88% chance in December.
The market generally believes the Fed has no immediate need to act before inflation data is released. The high-rate environment still suppresses gold, but expectations of a slower pace of hikes somewhat ease pressure on gold prices. Only when real rates peak will gold's pressure truly ease.
US Treasury and Dollar Movements Provide Temporary Relief for Gold
Fluctuations in US Treasuries and the dollar also indirectly influence gold pricing. On Tuesday, long- and short-term Treasury yields diverged: long-term yields fell following European bond markets, with the 10-year yield retreating from highs but still in a high range; 2-year yields rose slightly ahead of inflation data. Volatility in French bonds and risk aversion drove funds into bonds, lowering long-term yields.
The dollar index reversed down from an 18-month high. The market began reassessing AI sector valuations, capital inflows into US assets slowed, and Williams' dovish remarks further drove the dollar down. A weaker dollar provides some support for dollar-priced gold.
However, how long this support lasts depends on whether inflation data will alter Fed policy expectations. The IMF also warned that high debt combined with high bond yields poses risks, and geopolitical conflicts pushing energy prices could again raise US Treasury yields. In the long term, gold's value as a hedge against debt and geopolitical risks remains, though short-term sentiment is cautious.
Market Outlook: CPI Inflation Data Is the Key to Breaking the Deadlock
Overall, the slight retreat in gold prices reflects cautious waiting before major events, not a trend decline. Middle East conflicts pushing oil prices, Fed officials' divergent views, and the dollar's pullback create a tug-of-war resulting in current volatility.
Upcoming CPI consumer price index, PPI producer price index, and Fed senior officials' speeches are the most important catalysts to break the current stalemate.
If inflation data shows strong stickiness and energy-driven inflation rebounds, the market will reprice long-term high rates, and gold prices will continue to face downward pressure;
If inflation data signals cooling, combined with ongoing geopolitical risks, gold's safe-haven and hedging value will regain investor favor.
Given the potential for sudden geopolitical developments, trading should remain cautious and patient while awaiting key data releases.

Revealing the on-chain cards, Big Bro Maji is not betting on a single direction but setting up a cash flow hedge.
🪨 $BTC short: 40x leverage, 243 coins, unrealized profit of 260,000, funding fees over 50,000. As long as there’s no violent surge, it acts more like a slow money printer.
🌱 ETH long: 25x leverage, 8,700 coins, entry at 2,546, unrealized loss of 400,000. Betting on ecosystem recovery, but funding fees keep draining capital, time is not on his side.
🎭 HYPE short: unrealized loss of 4.86 million is the most eye-catching, but funding fees collected exceed 1 million. With 5x leverage, the crowded short position turns into a cash machine; as long as the price doesn’t crash, cash flow continues.
Each leg has its role: BTC short profits from volatility, ETH long bets on repair, HYPE short captures sentiment premium. But the high leverage nature remains: whales can withstand unrealized losses, ordinary traders may get liquidated first💥.
The real winning move lies in the BTC direction. When a one-sided market comes, this structure will face a stress test. Surviving is always more important than guessing the right direction.🧠 #September CPI announcement imminent, Hamark says further rate hikes needed #TSMC Q3 revenue hits record high, profit performance to be revealed The pot of Russia-Ukraine energy on the stove was just uncovered by Trump, and what wafted out wasn’t a pleasant aroma but a burnt smell mixed with undercooked diesel! He announced an energy ceasefire on October 11, like a chef presenting a signature dish publicly, but the kitchen hadn’t confirmed it jointly, and Kyiv said Russian forces continued to strike energy facilities. What is this called? The front hall is banging the gong to serve the dish, while the kitchen is still swinging pots and fighting.
On October 12, Novak confirmed that US and Russian energy officials and companies are negotiating diesel supply, and Russia partially loosened export restrictions. This is like loosening the lid of the broth pot halfway, and the flame suddenly flares up. Meanwhile, the US warned Kyiv not to touch Russian refineries, or military aid and intelligence support might go awry. This is like someone trying to mediate by the stove: don’t lift the oil pot lid, because if the oil temperature explodes, the whole street will choke.
Before a real ceasefire is implemented, energy supply expectations are like a flame that fluctuates between big and small. The edge of the oil price pot starts bubbling, and the linked dishes smell it first. Building an investment portfolio is like preparing a feast: mainstream coins are the main course, filling; altcoins are the seasoning, enhancing flavor; leveraged contracts are the extra spicy chili, one spoon makes you sweat, three spoons burn through your intestines. The current geopolitical energy gust is like pouring water into hot oil—not seasoning, but causing the pot to explode.
Diesel supply negotiations, easing export restrictions, refinery attack risks—any one of these can change the soup base. $xBMNR is not an independent stir-fry; it’s more like twice-cooked pork simmered together with crude oil, energy expectations, and risk appetite. If negotiations go smoothly, the flame dims, and risk appetite sweetens; if talks collapse or refineries get hit again, chili powder is sprinkled into hot oil, making everyone cough. If leveraged positions still scatter chili like bird’s eye chili recklessly, adding spice before the saltiness is settled, the kitchen will burn through first.
This pot of energy ceasefire soup still hasn’t skimmed the scum: on one hand, they talk about diesel, on the other, energy facilities keep getting hit; on one hand, export restrictions loosen, on the other, warnings not to bomb refineries. The timing is all stuck on the four words “no joint confirmation.” The aroma of $xBMNR’s pot only recognizes the next truly implemented joint confirmation, not unilateral menu announcements. The stove door is still open, the diesel soup is bubbling, whoever reaches for the ladle first will burn their mouth. #russiausdieseltalksOpening the chest cavity, the heart is still beating autonomously, but the aorta has been clamped by an invisible clamp—Iran-related crypto assets are facing this kind of instant cutoff. U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has warned that about one billion dollars of Iran-related crypto assets may soon be seized. However, the preoperative imaging only shows a vague shadow: no new seizure or asset details have been confirmed, and it is unclear whether this overlaps with the approximately one billion seized in May. As a cardiac surgeon, I would not open the chest based on a blurry image alone; similarly, the market should not treat headlines as pathology.
Stablecoin issuers say they have assisted in freezing Iran-related USDT, which is like heparin being instantly reversed by protamine during surgery, causing blood flow on the chain to coagulate. Senate investigations questioning sanction controls are like postoperative pathology indicating anastomotic bleeding, showing that hemostasis is not complete. U.S. authorities targeting Iran-related crypto channels are ligating collateral circulation, attempting to cut off perfusion. The real lesion is not a token price crash but the embolism risk emerging in compliance, custody, and clearing systems.
Look at $xGOOGL. As a U.S. stock token, its underlying myocardium may not be necrotic, but systemic inflammation can transmit. If sanction panic causes market makers to withdraw orders, on-chain liquidity spasms like coronary microcirculation, bid-ask spreads widen, and token prices may deviate from the native stock, forming discounts or premiums. Stablecoin freezes, custody reviews, and Senate investigations all increase resistance in extracorporeal circulation; if U.S. dollar liquidity and U.S. Treasury yields tighten simultaneously, valuation perfusion pressure drops, and $xGOOGL will passively lose blood. Watching the price at this time is like only watching ventricular fibrillation waveforms on a monitor without looking for ischemic causes.
I want to see vital signs: whether the freeze scale continues to expand, whether net outflows on-chain accelerate, whether compliance custodians disclose information, whether Senate investigations point to stronger sanctions, and whether U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar index form a sympathetic storm. These are the ECG, transesophageal echocardiography, and mixed venous oxygen saturation. If only Iran-related assets are seized, $xGOOGL may only be affected by risk appetite and liquidity discounts; if the investigation escalates to a systemic compliance repricing of stablecoins and tokenized assets, that is pericardial tamponade, compressing the entire risk asset ventricle.
Price crashes are only symptoms; emotional treatment is ineffective. First stop the bleeding, then rebuild perfusion, or any rebound is just temporary pacing, not autonomous rhythm recovery.
If sanction freezes are treated as ordinary volatility, it is like mistaking an aortic dissection for stomach pain—by the time pericardial tamponade appears, no defibrillation can restore perfusion. #iranusd1bseizurerisk CPI results come out tonight, let's clarify 3 questions first❓
Q: Positions haven't moved, does that mean no one is playing anymore?
A: Total network positions are 142.1 billion, down 0.19% in 24 hours, indeed standing still. But looking closer at the split: $BTC positions +0.89% increasing, $ETH -0.67% decreasing. Volume is 209 billion +30%, turnover without increasing positions, everyone is waiting for 8:30 PM tonight.
Q: What does a long-short ratio of 49 to 51 mean?
A: Evenly matched, neither side yields💡. I've been watching the market for years; before big events, the closer the long-short ratio is to 50-50, the bigger the volatility after the results. Both sides think they're right, but after the results, only one side's positions will explode.
Q: Why are small coins so strong?
A: KMNO +9.56%, positions +17.09%; INJ +8.43%, positions +9.66%. Interestingly, KMNO's fee rate is negative, shorts are still adding positions. Big money is waiting for CPI, small money is seeking thrills in altcoins, the short squeeze script for KMNO is already written.
Q: Who is stronger today, BTC or ETH?
A: BTC 83409, +0.61%, positions still increasing, clearly stronger; ETH 2510, +0.01%, positions -0.67%, has been weak for three days. Funds are voting with their feet: buying BTC before CPI, not ETH.
So how will I trade tonight? Position capped at 30%, leverage below 3x. No moves before the results, no orders within 15 minutes after. I don't guess direction, I just follow.

1. 早期贡献者:成本极低,兑现意愿更强,属于高抛压筹码;
- L1升级、抗量子叙事持续落地,长线资金逢解锁分批吸筹;
- 一部分解锁代币选择质押锁仓,不进入二级市场抛售;
- 叙事预期延后(L1上线推迟)、热度退潮;
- 加密大盘走熊,市场缺少增量资金;

#交易之声:你的经验值得被听到 $BTC In the past decade or so, the mainland's attitude toward Bitcoin (BTC) has followed a main line: from "defining it as a virtual commodity, warning of risks, isolating the financial system," gradually moving to "completely banning domestic virtual currency-related businesses + clearing out mining + continuously cracking down on speculation/money laundering/illegal financial activities." It was not a sudden one-size-fits-all ban but a step-by-step tightening. 1. 2013: Recognized as a "virtual commodity" but denied currency attributes - The People's Bank of China and five other ministries issued the "Notice on Preventing Bitcoin Risks": Bitcoin is not currency but a "specific virtual commodity" and cannot circulate as currency. - Financial institutions and payment institutions are prohibited from conducting Bitcoin exchange, clearing, custody, pricing, insurance, and other businesses. - Ordinary people can buy and sell at their own risk—this is considered "commodity trading," not a legal investment product, nor currency. - Core logic: prevent money laundering, maintain the legal status of the RMB, and keep risks outside the financial system. 2. 2017: Expanded from "Bitcoin" to "virtual currency/ICO," clearing trading platforms - The People's Bank of China and seven other departments issued the "Announcement on Preventing Risks of Token Issuance Financing": ICOs were defined as illegal public financing. - Domestic token issuance financing and virtual currency trading platforms were centrally cleaned up; Huobi/OKEx and others moved their domestic businesses overseas. - Attitude change: no longer just "Bitcoin speculation is risky," but treating token financing, platform matchmaking, and fundraising behaviors as financial chaos to be cracked down on. - At this time, individual coin speculation was not yet considered a crime, but platforms, coin issuance, and fundraising were already prohibited. 3. 2021: Completely tightenedBrothers and sisters, I am a PhD. Tonight at 20:30, the US September CPI data will be officially released. I know many people in the group are already sweating as the time approaches. Don't panic, I've been trading for 15 years and have seen CPI data over 30 times. Tonight, I'll explain all the logic to you thoroughly. 1. First, let's look at the four numbers to be announced tonight From the Jin10 screenshot, four data points will be released at once at 20:30 tonight: First, the CPI year-over-year, previous value 3.4%, expected 3.6%. This is the overall inflation, including energy and food. The market expectation is 0.2 percentage points higher than the previous value, indicating that everyone is mentally prepared for an inflation rebound. Second, the CPI month-over-month, previous value 0.4%, expected 0.6%. What does a 0.6% month-over-month increase mean? Annualized, that's 7.2%, which is not a small number. This is mainly pushed up by oil prices rising from 80 to 92-105. Third, the core CPI month-over-month, previous value 0.3%, expected 0.2%. Note, this expectation is even lower than the previous value, indicating the market believes that excluding energy and food, inflation pressure is actually easing. Fourth, the core CPI year-over-year, previous value 2.4%, expected 2.5%. This is the most critical one; the Federal Reserve is really focused on this. The expectation of 2.5% is still 0.5 percentage points away from the 2% target. 2. Why tonight is so important Let me tell you, tonight's CPI is not an ordinary monthly data release. First, the CME FedWatch currently shows a 77.3% probability of no rate hike in October, but the probability of a 25 basis point hike in December has already reached"A drop alone doesn't form a bottom; only what can hold it does."
$BTC broke through the defense line, $ETH weakened in sync, and altcoins fell even more steeply. Most people see this as a discount but overlook that the order book is thinning. Once the support orders retreat, a few sell orders can easily break through a price level.
CPI and PPI data have yet to be released. If the data is on the strong side, tightening trades won't end easily. Capital always turns before the candlesticks: first deleveraging, then allowing catch-up drops to happen. After the lower stop-loss zone is swept, sentiment is left fragile.
Therefore, before the macro picture is revealed, no matter how hard the drop, don't rush to define the bottom. Cheapness is not a product of the drop magnitude but a result of buying returning. A drop without support is just liquidity repricing.
In the past 24 hours, the main pricing theme has shifted from "interest rate tightening" to "AI hardware revaluation + persistent geopolitical premium": Broadcom CEO's "casino" remarks combined with progress at Changxin triggered a sell-off in Asian chip stocks and dragged down the growth segment of the US stock market; major banks' earnings reports generally exceeded expectations but stock prices fell broadly, indicating the market cares more about guidance and valuation than quarterly numbers. Tonight's key validation points are highly concentrated: at 09:30 Beijing time, China's September CPI/PPI, and at 20:30, US September CPI; these two inflation data sets will simultaneously test the interest rate pricing in the Chinese and US stock markets.
