ETF is buying, the market is falling, so who is really dumping?
Brothers, this market situation is giving me goosebumps.
ETF funds are clearly still flowing in, yet the market keeps sliding down without turning back. Bottom-fishing brothers get swept right after entering, any slight rebound is pressed down, bulls are completely stunned. Many ask me: who is dumping? Honestly—it's not just one person dumping, it's the entire macro environment pressing you down.
News perspective: three blows strike simultaneously
First blow, from the Federal Reserve. The September FOMC minutes released on October 7 showed most officials directly stating: there might be another rate hike within the year. Note the wording—"most," not just one or two, but the majority. What does this mean? The market was still betting on rate cuts, but the discussion was about hikes. How sensitive $BTC is to monetary policy needs no explanation; once rate hike expectations tighten, the entire risk asset pool comes under pressure.
Second blow, ETFs are "malfunctioning." This is the most confusing part for bulls. In September, Bitcoin ETFs still recorded about $2.6 billion in net inflows, looking strong, right? But in October, the scene changed abruptly. On October 7 alone, there was a net outflow of $487.9 million, wiping out all net inflows from the start of October. Even more striking, Fidelity's FBTC outflows in the first eight days of October exceeded the total market net outflows.
ETF inflows can't support the market, indicating selling pressure isn't from retail investors but from a more macro level.
Third blow, hidden in the bond market. The 10-year US Treasury yield once hit 5.36%, the highest since 2002. Although it recently fell back to around 5.24%, a risk-free yield above 5% is there—why would funds risk high-volatility crypto assets? As CoinShares pointed out, crypto funds had cumulative inflows of $11.1 billion since mid-July, but inflows slowed significantly this week, with soaring Treasury yields being the biggest obstacle.
Market interpretation: the bulls' defense line is being eroded
$BTC is currently around 84,000, but don't forget it was hammered down to 82,300 on October 8, a nearly three-week low. Although there was a slight rebound within 24 hours, the price center of gravity keeps moving down. More importantly, Coinglass data shows that if $BTC falls below $79,657, the cumulative long liquidation intensity on major CEXs will reach $825 million. This means a large number of stop-loss orders from bulls are waiting to be harvested—panic is not yet at its extreme.
$ETH shows even more volatility. When macro negatives hit, its pullback force far exceeds $BTC, dropping from 2,700 to around 2,420, now barely breathing around 2,500. TokenPost data shows about $95.85 million liquidated across the market in 24 hours, with $ETH-related liquidations accounting for a significant portion, shorts making up 81%. Long positions risk slippage plus liquidation with any misstep, shorts dare not chase—both sides are getting hit, that's the harshness of a choppy market.
$SOL and similar incremental-fund-dependent public chain tokens are worse off; liquidity shrinks, hot narratives go cold. Even after announcing cooperation with Samsung Pay, the coin price still follows the market down. In the face of macro factors, positive narratives are worthless.
My judgment and operational approach
ETF inflows, halving narratives, corporate accumulation, Samsung cooperation... these positives still exist, but they can't offset three things: tightening rate hike expectations, high Treasury yields, and institutions taking profits—whales sold about 30,000 $BTC last week, worth roughly $2.52 billion, big money is reducing exposure.
Short-term pressure won't vanish out of thin air. CPI and PPI data are about to be released; if strong, rate hike expectations will heat up further. Bottom-fishing now is like catching flying knives.
My stance is clear: don't chase shorts, but also don't rush to bottom-fish. Wait for two signals—one, whether market sentiment stabilizes after CPI data; two, whether $BTC can hold the critical liquidation zone around 79,600. Hold your position, steady your mindset, only when the market warms up will you have bullets to seize opportunities.

#CPI and PPI upcoming, rate hike expectations face test
#Institutions keep positioning, why does BTC still face pressure?
#TradingVoice: Your experience deserves to be heard APT's surge is driven by the unlocking cycle turning point, with early-stage tokens about to be fully released, leading to a significant drop in subsequent selling pressure. Capital is rushing ahead to speculate on supply improvement; however, positive news does not necessarily mean the market will start. The 0.9 level still experiences huge volatility, so beware of the risk of a sell-off when the good news is realized. Is this wave really a shakeout, or are the big players passively taking hits? Have you noticed that the more famous the whale, the more easily they get worn down to holding just one card during the volatility? I've been watching the update from Lookonchain for a long time. Maji's account now only holds about 1.54 million USD, with a long position of just 17,000 ETH, nominally valued at about 43.25 million USD, with an estimated liquidation price around 2493 USD. What's even more painful is that this account's unrealized loss once reached 8.44 million USD in a single week. Note, the 43.25 million is the position's face value, not his own capital. Under high leverage, if ETH drops a bit more, margin pressure will surge like a tide. My initial intuition: this doesn't look like an active attack, but more like a passive contraction. Previously, the long positions were larger and more diversified; now they've been cut down to just ETH, indicating he's cutting other risk exposures and placing his final conviction on the most familiar asset. The problem is, this "only one faith position left" state is often not a feature of the initial phase of a move, but a typical scene during divergence distribution or a downward continuation. What is the market actually trading? It's not "Maji is still alive," but rather his liquidation price at 2493 has become a magnet for many. The closer ETH gets to that level, the more it triggers two emotions: one is bears wanting to push it down to capture this forced sell liquidity; the other is bulls trying to catch a rebound, betting that he will hold and sentiment will recover. So the price near this key level becomes very sticky and fake,链上监测显示,市场知名交易者“麻吉大哥”最新6000万美元级别的加密货币持仓动向引发行业高度关注,本次操作呈现典型的“多空交织+高倍杠杆豪赌”特征,巨量单边押注背后暗藏极高清算风险。

#跟着OKX打卡2049 Wait for a pullback confirmation
$BICO has dropped 2.8% in the past day and 9.3% this week, showing continued weakness. Even if it rebounds in the next moment, I won’t immediately turn bullish. The first wave of rally is often emotional recovery—quick to come and quick to go. The real test is whether it can rise again after the pullback and surpass the previous high; if the pullback doesn’t break the previous low and the second rally is stronger, that’s more evidence of recovery. Conversely, if the second surge fizzles early, remain cautious. Keep your position controlled and don’t try to guess the bottom.
$SOL has dropped 8.3% this week but gained 7.3% this month, showing mixed performance. A monthly gain is not a shield. The next pullback is the touchstone: if after the rebound it can hold at a higher level, expectations can be gradually raised; if it returns to the rebound starting point, it means the recovery left little behind. Don’t underestimate the current correction just because of long-term gains.
$OKB slid from 124.65 to 123.36, down 2.6% in 24 hours. It seemed cheap in the afternoon and even cheaper at night, reminding me: cheap is not a buying logic. Wait for the downtrend to blunt first, then see if the rebound has continuity. Missing the very beginning is okay; having stronger evidence makes holding steadier.
Current strategy: don’t rush the first bite, don’t wait for the lowest point, wait for the second confirmation. Control your position and let the market give the answers first.
#CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test
#TradingVoice: Your experience deserves to be heard In just a few days, $BTC dropped from around 86,000 to 80,000
Now it has risen from 80,000 to 83,000
Later it will continue to rise back to 86,000
It's still 86,000, the price hasn't changed
But many people's positions are already gone..Before CPI/PPI release! The market has fully entered a "grinding mode"
On the eve of the data window, the market is stuck in a stalemate between bulls and bears. BTC weaves repeatedly above 83000, ETH and SOL simultaneously oscillate within a narrow range, and the market collectively waits for inflation data.
Current market characteristics: frequent pin bars repeatedly shake out positions, making price rises and falls hard to sustain; altcoins rotate sporadically but lack momentum, with no new capital inflow.
Many are tormented by the volatility, bullish but not rising, bearish but not falling, holding positions painfully, and frequent trading increases the risk of pitfalls.
This is a typical pattern during a data vacuum period; before CPI and PPI are announced, major players won’t give a clear direction, only repeatedly sweeping stop losses to wear down everyone’s patience.
All current oscillations and pin bars are waiting for a breakout signal. Market opportunities will come after the data release; the best strategy now is to hold back and wait patiently.

#CPI and PPI release imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test
#Institutions continue to position, why does BTC still face pressure? Starting with a single chart,
all content is made up.
Bitcoin rose a bit yesterday,
but other altcoins didn't move much.
However, I caught an air coin,
made a 10% gain and ran.
Then it surged 30%,
a facepalm-worthy event.
Based on experience, I closed the position,
subconsciously expecting an A-shaped curve.
There are several curve types,
and it ended with sideways movement at a high point.
Like Schrödinger's cat,
without opening the box,
you don't know if it's dead or alive.
If I hadn't closed the position,
it might have followed the A-shaped trend.
After doing so many contracts,
there's no return.
No returns in October either,
any wins were given back.
For ultra-short-term trades,
closing the position is your actual return. With BTC's current market, the easiest mistake to make is rushing to chase right after a breakout.
Just now, it surged above 84000 again, reaching a high of 84177, but it couldn't hold and fell back to around 83650.
I checked the hourly chart; previously, BTC rebounded steadily from 80351, lingering around 83000 for quite a while. This time it finally pushed up, but after the spike, it immediately pulled back. Currently, the BOLL middle band is near 83324, the upper band close to 83995. Although the price is still above the middle band, this spike-and-fall candlestick at least indicates that the selling pressure above 84000 cannot be ignored.
I won't just assume a new upward trend has started simply because it touched 84000.
Next, the focus is on two key levels: first, whether it can hold around 83300; second, whether it can firmly stay above 84000 again. If it pulls back without breaking 83300 and then breaks through 84000 with volume, this breakout will be more convincing. Conversely, if repeated attempts to push higher are smashed down, we need to be cautious about it continuing to grind within the range.
Honestly, in this kind of market, the real test isn't whether you're bullish or bearish, but whether you can resist chasing orders at critical points. Chasing before a confirmed breakout risks getting trapped on a pullback; shorting hastily on a drop might just be shorting near support.
I'd rather miss out on some gains than turn a potentially good trade into a back-and-forth battle. This is now a typical low-volume consolidation phase, not the time to chase gains. Have you adjusted your position pacing this week? The weekend market is as quiet as a dozing cat, but I know this kind of calm is the most deceptive. BTC is oscillating narrowly around 83000, with resistance above and support around 82000; ETH is stuck around 2500, and without a strong breakout above previous highs, it's hard to escape sideways trading; SOL is even weaker, gently moving around 109, with both buyers and sellers reluctant to act. In this kind of market, I usually don't rush to add positions because what really matters is not the price but where the capital preference is leaning. Institutions are still continuously positioning, but BTC hasn't strengthened accordingly, indicating that current buyers are more selective and slower, willing to buy on pullbacks but unwilling to chase in quiet times. ETF subscriptions/redemptions, macro speeches, geopolitical surprises, and large unlocks could all trigger a break in the weekend balance. The bullish path is: sideways trading washes out floating positions, waiting for a news or volume confirmation, BTC stabilizes above resistance, leading ETH to catch up, and risk appetite then spreads to SOL and altcoins. The bearish risk is: if BTC can't rise for a long time and ETH fails to break resistance, capital will continue to concentrate in a few high-certainty assets, making altcoin rebounds more likely to be bull traps. My small mistake this week was adding to my position too early during the oscillation; I later realized that during quiet phases, the most important thing is not to predict direction but to control pacing and preserve reserves. The weekend is suitable for review, not for getting carried away. My judgment is: this is more like consolidation and waiting for signals, not a trend start. $ZEC is up 3.91% in 24 hours, currently priced at 1,269.8, only 2.35% away from the 1-hour resistance at 1,299.66. This kind of position often creates an illusion: if it crosses during the session, the breakout is considered complete. The real weighty answer is whether it can hold after crossing.
Positions are more honest than adjectives. The current price is about 4.01% away from the 1-hour support at 1,218.87 and about 2.35% from the resistance at 1,299.66. Only by comparing these two distances can you see which side requires more evidence. Looking only at the price change can easily mistake the space already traveled as space not yet started.
The opposing side also has a clear invalidation line. Breaking below the 1-hour support at 1,218.87 indicates that short-term support has failed the test; if it continues to break the 4-hour support at 1,112.77, the original strong or recovery judgment must be rewritten. #BTC spot ETF outflows nearly $450 million in three days
#Russia relaxes diesel exports, but the Hormuz risk still supports oil prices $MAGIC up 38% today, open interest down 4.2%: Have MAGIC's shorts all been squeezed out?
Reviewing MAGIC, the anomaly first: up 121% in a week, and another 38% in one day today, but after scanning Chinese and English news flashes, there isn’t a single positive catalyst for it. The gains are all from sector rotation money.
The market action is also strange. It touched 0.1637 on Saturday, dropped 29% in an hour, then climbed back to 0.1357 this week. Open interest actually dropped 4.2%, and the funding rate flipped from -0.14% back to positive — shorts have basically been squeezed out, and now longs and shorts aren’t crowded.
Here’s another figure for you to feel: in this move, the entire network’s 24-hour trading volume reached 8 times the market cap, and perpetual contract open interest is close to 13 times the market cap. This is no longer a spot trader’s arena. The $XRP vulnerability narrowly escaped disaster, but the catastrophe on October 11 was not averted. If the XRP Ledger vulnerability had not been discovered, the consequences would have been catastrophic, severe enough to shake the very foundation of trust in the entire network. Once exploited by hackers, the damage would far exceed a simple price crash. The first layer is the direct collapse on the financial level. Attackers could create 18.45 trillion XRP out of thin air with a single transaction, which is 184.5 times the initial XRP cap of 100 billion. Once these counterfeit coins flood the market, XRP's scarcity would vanish, and its price would instantly drop to zero. Attackers could transfer the forged XRP to exchanges to sell, triggering a market panic stampede. At that time, XRP's market cap was about $94 billion, and such a shock would be enough to destroy the entire ecosystem's value foundation. The second layer is the trust crisis on the technical level. The core trust cornerstone of XRP is its fixed supply of 100 billion coins. This vulnerability directly undermined this fundamental principle, shaking investors' confidence in the network's long-term value storage capability. To urgently fix it, the development team had to bypass the standard validator voting process, a first in XRPL's more than ten-year history. Although this was an unconventional measure taken for security, it also exposed that under extreme circumstances, the network's decentralized governance might face forced centralized decision-making dilemmas. The hacker's perspective is also worth examining. This vulnerability is not easily triggered; it requires attackers to create hundreds of accounts and carefully construct a series of abnormal transaction orders, the mostUnrealized profit 187.18%, short position on $PUMP taken from 0.005823 to 0.005605, this range was fully exploited. The entry logic is not a bet on a drop, but rather that when the price surged to the previous high resistance zone, momentum clearly weakened, volume and price diverged, a typical bull trap followed by weakness.
Structurally, the price is still oscillating in a bearish range between previous lows and highs, with 0.005823 exactly stuck at the previous resistance band. The price hit resistance and then fell back, indicating that after high-level chips changed hands, bears regained control. The best validation is that there was no deep pullback during the holding period. But with unrealized profits so large, I won’t hold blindly; I will gradually reduce positions and lock in profits near the previous low support.
Key resistance is at the 0.005823 entry zone overlapping with the previous high, support is near the previous low. As long as the rebound does not firmly break 0.00585, the bearish logic remains unchanged. If there is a volume breakout and it holds above the previous high, the short position is invalid and I will exit immediately, not wasting time on a false breakout. Currently, priority is to lock in profits, keep a base position while the structure has not reversed, and wait for a pullback. $BTC $ETH #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test 🏦 OKX BUSINESS UPDATE

我选前者 Institutions keep shouting about building positions and ETFs are buying, yet $BTC just can't break above 83,000. Funds have entered the market, but the price isn't rising. Why is that?
Let's break it down simply why institutional buying can't move the market:
First, the buying power is too weak: The slow inflow from institutions can't withstand the market's frantic selling pressure.
Second, lack of confidence: With macro data looming overhead, funds would rather earn risk-free interest from U.S. Treasuries than recklessly enter and become cannon fodder.
Third, the tug of war between bulls and bears: The short-term market is all about profit-taking, leverage liquidations, and liquidity battles; institutions simply can't control the market.
Next, we need to closely watch whether ETFs can sustain net inflows, if trading volume can expand, and whether BTC can firmly hold key support levels again. If there is only fund inflow news without price cooperation, we cannot easily conclude a reversal.

#跟着OKX打卡2049 $ETH ETH: Can it hold at 2500 dollars? What are the whales doing?
ETH is at 2513 dollars today, up 0.78% in 24h, but still down 6.8% over 7 days. This is ETH's dilemma: when the market stabilizes, it rises along; when risk retreats, it is softer than SOL/XRP. The reason is simple, ETH has too many "stories"—L2, restaking, RWA, institutional custody, options market, which confuses capital on where to speculate.
On-chain data is interesting: whales are accumulating between 2400–2500, the 4000-dollar bullish structure in the options market remains, but spot buying is not strong enough. 24h volume is 5.78B, less than half of BTC's, indicating capital prioritizes BTC, with the remainder allocated to ETH.
In the news, Fidelity has opened custody trading for SOL, and JPMorgan uses ETH as collateral, which is positive long-term, but short-term "institutions can use" does not equal "institutions are buying." If the US stock night session weakens and US bond yields rise again today, ETH will first test 2450 or even 2400.
Retail investors trading ETH should not imitate BTC: BTC looks at macro factors, ETH looks at two things—ETH/BTC exchange rate and L2 fees/restaking TVL. If these two don't rise, 2500 is a relay point, not a bottom. #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face tests #Institutions continue to build positions, why does BTC remain under pressure?

Bitcoin strongly rallied from around 82,800, reaching a high near 84,200; Ethereum simultaneously exploded, climbing from around 2,490 to about 2,560. The key resistance levels we alerted the brothers to last night have all been precisely reached, perfectly validating the market! Brothers holding short positions can continue to hold, maintain good defense, secure profits, and don’t get easily shaken out by short-term fluctuations. Those who missed out, don’t worry; the market always rewards the prepared. When the rhythm is right, profits come naturally!
This morning also reached the short-term resistance zone. Here, we focus on the 83,500-84,500 breakout situation. If it doesn’t break through, you can try shorting. Pay attention to the 81,500-80,000 range below. If it breaks through, look at 85,500-86,000.
Ethereum is also showing a high push currently. This morning, we continue to watch the resistance zone of 2,560-2,600 to try shorting, targeting the 2,450-2,400 range. If it breaks through 2,600, short positions can be exited first. $BTC $ETH #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, and interest rate hike expectations face a test Bitcoin just had a surge, and immediately people online were shouting that the bull market is back! 😂
Actually, this looks more like a technical rebound after an oversell, not necessarily a trend reversal upward.
The Federal Reserve may not raise interest rates in the short term, giving the market a bit of breathing room. But from the meeting minutes, most officials still lean toward raising rates once more before the end of the year, and Goldman Sachs even bets on two hikes. The rebounds are quite different in distance traveled
$UNI I won’t temporarily change to a bullish view just because it rose a few points. The price is around 7.61, down about 14.7% in a week; based on this drop, it still needs to rise about 17% to return to a week ago.
So even if there is a clear rebound later, we need to see how much it has recovered. If it’s still far from the original position, we can’t rush to say this round of adjustment is over.
But a big drop is not a direct reason to be bearish. My focus is whether the rebound can continue to advance, not how long the first bullish candle is. Continuous recovery of lost ground carries more weight than a sudden pull-up.
$ENA has already risen a bit, but the strength is still insufficient. It rose about 1% in the last 24 hours, still down about 8% in a week, and up about 58% in a month.
Its problem is that it had a considerable rise before, but recently it has been giving back gains. Whether this rebound can continue is more worth watching than how much of the monthly gain remains. I treat it as a recovery for now, not prematurely assuming the second round of rise has started.
$OKB is facing a lighter situation. It only dropped about 1.5% in a week, rose about 9.6% in a month, and the intra-week pullback is significantly smaller than the previous two.
The drop it needs to fill is smaller, and the threshold for recovery is lower. However, only after recovering the intra-week drop will it be time to test new upward space. The advantage of a smaller drop is recognized, but how far it can rise afterward still needs to be seen.
#OKX completed strategic financing with a valuation of 25 billion USD $ETH ETH is currently trading at about $2,550 on October 12, with a 24-hour increase of 1.68%, currently in a volatile recovery phase struggling above the $2,500 mark.
📉 Funding: Institutions are retreating
The spot Ethereum ETF has seen net outflows for 9 consecutive trading days, totaling about $700 million, marking the worst weekly performance since January. Among them, BlackRock's ETHA had a weekly outflow of $477 million, accounting for nearly 90% of the total outflow.
🐋 On-chain battle: Whales are accumulating
While institutions are redeeming, whales have increased their holdings by about 166,000 ETH (worth over $400 million) within 72 hours. Meanwhile, Binance's ETH reserves have dropped to a six-month low, with withdrawal volumes hitting a single-day record high, indicating accumulation.
📊 Key levels
· Support: $2,450–$2,500 (recent buying defense zone; a break below points to $2,400)
· Resistance: $2,550–$2,600 (previous crash starting zone; holding above is needed to reverse short-term weakness)
🔍 Today's focus
The market is awaiting US inflation data, with institutional funds choosing to wait and see. Weak spot demand is the biggest concern; if $2,450 is breached, it may trigger further pullback. Will non-custodial wallets require certification to write code in the future?
I was stunned when I just saw this.
First, what exactly is this about? Simply put, the EU is considering whether developers writing non-custodial wallets should first obtain a certification.
Then, what does ESMA itself say? It actually states that open source, self-custody, and permissionless should not automatically be considered intermediaries.
So here’s the problem: on one hand, they want to regulate; on the other, they say don’t jump to conclusions—doesn’t that mean they themselves haven’t figured it out?
I’m familiar with this kind of trap. Back in the day, many projects were scared off before rules were finalized.
Fortunately, this is just a consultation for now, the rules haven’t changed, and the report will be delayed until June 2027.
So in the short term, there’s no direct impact on the market; don’t scare yourself.
What we really need to watch is whether this "ask first, decide later" approach will drive developers elsewhere.
You tell me, will it ultimately control the risk, or just drive people away?

During volatile periods, consider cash flow as a system: ETFs indicate institutional demand, spot volume reflects actual trading, OI shows leverage usage, and liquidations reveal forced position closures. Recent news shows ETF capital flows diverging: BTC is highly volatile, ETH faces withdrawal pressure, while XRP and some altcoin funds have distinct signals. Do not assume all altcoins will rise together. Wait for confirmation from price, volume, and market structure; prioritize capital preservation.ETH, SOL, AVAX, and APT have large scale, mature ecosystems, and deeply established stablecoin liquidity, making them widely recognized as mainstream major chains in the market. Institutional funds and massive amounts of USDT and USDC have long circulated on these chains, placing them in the first tier of the stablecoin narrative.
Celo is different; despite a significant market cap gap, it possesses native stablecoin attributes. Binance has opened deposit and withdrawal channels for USDT and USDC on the Celo network. This is very rare among small-cap L1 public chains. Many small and medium public chains can only trade tokens and do not open on-chain deposit and withdrawal permissions for stablecoins."Money isn't coming in, cold wallets aren't safe either, BTC is stuck around 80,000"
This month, nearly $986 million has been withdrawn from US BTC and ETH spot ETFs combined. Fidelity's FBTC pulled nearly $200 million in a week, BlackRock's IBIT only added $22.38 million, unable to hold the line. ETH ETFs look even worse, with net outflows for 9 consecutive trading days totaling $569 million.
Ledger strikes again: On-chain analysts report hundreds of user wallets hacked across multiple chains, losses exceeding $86 million. Cold wallets are no longer absolutely safe, some coin holders are starting to panic.
On the macro side, September CPI will be released next week. The Fed is very likely to hold steady in October, but the bet on a December rate hike remains at 83.7%.

Today's range: low 82695, high 83181, current price around 82920. After a big drop, volume hasn't picked up, the trend seems to be grinding repeatedly in a narrow box, no sign of a rebound yet.
Short-term first resistance: 83600-84000. Selling pressure is heavy here; only a volume-backed recovery above 84000 would indicate short-term strength.
Short-term first support: 82200. If broken effectively, the 81500 area may be tested again.
Market judgment: Sentiment is still digesting, both bulls and bears are holding back; this is just a pause in the decline, not a reversal. The longer the sideways movement lasts, the more intense the subsequent directional choice will be, so don't rush to take sides.

Analyzing capital flow, key support, and signal confirmation together clarifies the market logic.
First, look at the capital: On October 9, BTC spot ETF net inflow was 21.13 million, with BlackRock iShares contributing the main funds. ETH ETF has seen outflows for 9 consecutive days totaling 697 million, but the outflow scale is steadily narrowing. Whales have increased holdings by 15,000 BTC and 166,000 ETH in the past 72 hours. Capital divergence is obvious, but slowing outflows do not equal a trend reversal.
Next, look at price levels: ETH current price is 2532, with 2595 as strong resistance at MA200; 2500 is core support, and 2400 is a structural watershed. BTC surged to 84177 but was resisted and fell back; short-term resistance is 83976, support at 82930; the 83000–80500 range is the ETF chip cost zone—if effectively broken down, selling pressure will escalate into collective stop-loss.
Finally, look at signals: sustained capital outflow combined with support breakdown will truly amplify risk. ETH short positions far exceed longs, but derivatives leverage has dropped to a seven-month low, with high-leverage longs basically cleared out.
Conclusion: Do not rush to judge whether it is distribution or consolidation. Wait for ETF funds to turn positive for 2-3 consecutive days and for support to be retested with volume before taking action. At this stage, keep light positions and strict stop-loss. BTC’s stronger position over ETH is unlikely to change in the short term; follow capital flow and avoid blindly speculating on a one-sided ETH rebound.
$BTC $ETH #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, and interest rate hike expectations face a test The biggest news in the crypto world today is not the market, but Ledger officially confirming: some hardware wallets have been implanted with hardware modules capable of stealing mnemonic phrases. On-chain investigators estimate the losses have already exceeded $86 million. Let's straighten out the timeline first. At 5:54 AM (UTC) on October 9, a transaction moved 80 bitcoins all at once. The device owner bought it from an official authorized dealer, wrote down the mnemonic phrase by hand and locked it in a safe—textbook operation, nothing ambiguous. By noon that day, a large number of similar reports appeared on X and Reddit, with the only common point being that the devices were purchased from the Southeast Asian dealer CryptoBilis. At 1:30 PM (UTC) that afternoon, Ledger confirmed it was investigating and requested the dealer to suspend all device sales. Today, Ledger confirmed on X that unauthorized hardware implantation was indeed found in one victim's device. How big are the losses? Currently, only on-chain estimates exist. Investigator Specter first published ten collection addresses covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tron, estimating over $86 million; Bitquery covered 311 wallets, estimating about $92.9 million; SlowMist's MistTrack said the figure is approaching $90 million. The numbers vary, but the direction is consistent: heading toward $100 million. More striking than the total amount is the victim profile. This incident involves only about 98 wallets, averaging each #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test #Institutions continue to position, why is BTC still under pressure? #PIMCO warns 10-year US Treasury yield could reach 6%
What you see is not dawn, but a bit of light leaking through the clouds. It’s real, but not bright enough.
$BTC still has an old burden overhead—around 85000, where trapped positions and dense trading zones overlap. The closer the price gets, the more people want to exit. So don’t rush to call a reversal. Only when volume expands to absorb and hold above 85000 will the door be considered opened; otherwise, this wave is just a deep correction, and a retest is bound to come.
$ETH climbed from 2350 to 2470, like sitting up after a fever, but not yet out of bed. None of the previously broken key levels have been reclaimed. 2520 is the point where it can lift its head; if 2430 breaks again, 2350 will be retested.
$SOL fluctuated from 102 to 108, seemingly rising, but the cap above hasn’t been lifted. Chasing it at this stage, even if the direction is right, could still get shaken out.
So now:
BTC—wait to hold above 85000 before talking offense.
ETH—just watch 2520 and 2430, don’t imagine more.
SOL—put it aside for now, not every ride is worth taking.
In the medium to long term, I’m still bullish; this cycle may not be over yet. But being bullish is a judgment, chasing every green candle is another kind of problem.
When confused, don’t rush to find direction. First, find your own rules again. Direction comes from waiting, not rushing.
