BNB at $705, did the hacker scare you away?
$6.3 billion stolen, BNB plunged 9%, the whole network is shouting "Binance is finished"—but just now, the price bounced back sharply from 700, whales quietly scooping up between 680-700. Is this the last escape window before a crash, or your last chance to buy BNB at 700?
First, look at the surface: a big bearish candle scared off half the market.
On October 29, during the hacker incident, BNB dropped straight from 770 to around 700, down 4% in 7 days, 8% in 30 days, and halved 48% from the ATH of 1370. The group chat was full of voices saying "Binance is going to explode" and "BNB will go to zero."
But if you look closely at the chart—700 held for three days without breaking, and volume quickly shrank after the panic. What does "panic exhausted" mean? It means bad news flying everywhere, but the price stopped falling.
First thing: $6.3 billion stolen, but zero loss to users
Binance hot wallet was hacked, $6.3 billion level, confirmed by the FBI. Sounds like a disaster?
But Binance did three things:
Company reserves + SAFU fund directly covered 95% of losses
Promised zero loss to users, not a cent less
From November 1, phased withdrawal restoration began, BNB Chain has already processed many withdrawals
In plain language: you panicked, but CZ used money to fill your hole.
What the market fears most is not incidents, but no one to backstop when incidents happen. Binance’s speed and strength in backing up this time reminded old players of the 2019 hack—when BNB dropped to 20, then rose to 690.
History doesn’t simply repeat, but it rhymes every time.
Second thing: you only see the hacker, but not the deflationary flywheel still turning.
BNB auto-burns every quarter, the latest burned 1.64 million tokens, worth about $1.2 billion. Circulating supply targeted to burn from 200 million to 100 million, now only 131.5 million left.
The hacker incident is a surface wound; the deflationary mechanism is the marrow producing blood.
Look at the ecosystem: BSC’s DeFi TVL remains, RWA tokenized funds are growing, Jenner hardfork testnet is advancing payment channels, Brazil license application is underway.
Binance is still the world’s number one daily volume exchange, BNB Chain is still the chain with negligible fees. Price dropped, fundamentals didn’t collapse.
Third thing: 700 is the dividing line between panic sellers and smart money.
700 is a psychological threshold and the post-event bull-bear boundary
On-chain data shows large buy orders hanging between 680-700
Proof of Reserves report is about to update, withdrawals are resuming
BTC stabilized near 64k, macro hasn’t collapsed
You panic sell, others place orders below 700 to pick up your blood tokens.
Bull-bear showdown, you decide
On one side:
SAFU covers 95% losses, zero loss to users, trust is being restored
Quarterly burn of $1.2 billion, deflationary flywheel keeps spinning
Withdrawals resuming, net outflow controllable
700 support tested three times without breaking
Down 48% from ATH, valuation back to historical lows
On the other side:
Hacker incident shadow remains, Proof of Reserves not yet finalized
Macro tightening, sticky inflation, rate cut expectations delayed
BTC unstable, BNB follows down, not up
720-735 resistance repeatedly suppresses, rebound weak
Centralization risks repeatedly raised
Key levels
Resistance above: 720-735 → 750 → 800
Support below: 700 (psychological) → 680 → 650
Trading strategy
Short-term traders:
Light long positions near 700-705, stop loss at 695 (exit if broken), first target 720-735 to take half profits. If rebound hits resistance at 720-735 with weak volume, consider light short positions, stop loss 740. Avoid heavy positions, hacker aftermath not fully digested, keep position under 10% until direction confirmed.
Swing traders:
Wait for Proof of Reserves release + full withdrawal restoration + stable volume above 720 before adding positions. Reduce positions if volume spikes below 700, don’t hold through. Mid-term target 750-800, but needs macro support.
Long-term believers:
DCA between 650-680. BNB dropped from 1370 to 700, down 48%, but deflationary mechanism continues, exchange market share intact. Target 1000-1200 by 2027, betting on trust restoration + ecosystem growth + deflationary compounding. But remember—the hacker incident will be used to scare repeatedly; only those who hold can profit.
BNB now is like Binance in 2019—
After the hack, everyone said "it's over," but BNB went from 20 to 690.
