My friend bought 3x Bitcoin ETFs at a high price last year. Last month, Bitcoin rose back to the purchase price. But when he checked his account, it was down 43%. The most frustrating part wasn’t losing money. He was always bullish on Bitcoin, and that judgment was right from start to finish. He correctly predicted the end point, and it really arrived. But his money didn’t. Later, I helped him review that market period trade by trade, and only then did we realize this product was completely different from what he thought. They promised 3x daily returns, not 3x returns over three months. Just one word difference, but two completely different things. Every day at closing, the fund recalculates the leverage. When it falls, it loses much more sharply than he imagined, and at the same time, it also reduces his position size. So every rebound, it can only use the remaining money to earn. He kept holding, but what was in the account was changing every day. I calculated: With the same starting point and the same end point, if the price path was a straight line, his account would be +4%. But because it zigzagged wildly for half a year, it turned into -43%. A 48 percentage point difference, all eaten up by the "path taken," not by my judgment. Leverage doesn’t bet on direction. It bets on whether you can endure the journey in between. Being right on direction only guarantees you reach the destination, not that your account will get there. So if you’re currently stuck, don’t ask "When will Bitcoin rise back?" Ask yourself: If it doesn’t rise and just grinds me down like this for half a year, can I endure it? $LIT Litentry approaches identity from a different direction: making decentralized identity more usable across Web3 applications. The interesting part is not simply storing identity data, but how credentials can be verified and used without forcing users into repeated onboarding. The last one is the number I'd keep in mind after a quarter like this. $BTC just gained 42.6% in Q3 and ETH 70.9%, while total crypto market cap expanded by ~$823B. Today's early spot 24-hour observation window: range 1210.59—1242.03 USDT, change +1.03%, trading volume approximately 22.86 million USDT. The quote is in the mid-range, with a small increase in the window. Narrowed volatility cannot identify whether leverage has decreased, nor can it prove a change in privacy demand; short-term balance between bulls and bears and reduced participation are both competitive explanations. If 1210.59 is broken again, the narrow stability is insufficient to continue supporting recovery; if 1242.03 is reclaimed and the pullback does not move lower, then the support judgment is raised, but liquidation data still needs independent verification.$BTC is showing a very strange phenomenon: ETFs are continuously withdrawing money, yet the price is slowly rising. Ethereum spot ETFs have seen net outflows for eight consecutive days, but the coin price has rebounded from the lows. In the entire first week of October, BTC and ETH ETFs combined had net outflows exceeding $1.2 billion. On October 7 alone, Bitcoin ETFs had a single-day outflow of $484.9 million, the largest single-day exit since the end of June. So why is the price still rising? It's not that a lot of new money is coming in to buy the dip. Rather, sellers have temporarily stopped, and with fewer sell orders on the books, it doesn't take much buying pressure to push the price up. The rebound from 80,400 to 82,600 is essentially an illusion caused by thinning liquidity. There is a large accumulation of selling pressure between 83,300 and 84,600, which is a short-term hurdle. The key support line is at 80,400; if it breaks, the current support sell orders will turn into selling pressure that drives the price down. Next, we have to wait for the CPI data on October 14. Until it lands, all directions are just guesses. If inflation is lower than expected, risk assets can catch a breather; if inflation exceeds expectations, a rate hike in December is basically guaranteed. The 83,500–84,000 range has been repeatedly hit and pushed down several times. Don't bet on a breakout prematurely; wait until the price actually reaches this range before making a move, which will be much safer. $ETH $ZEC #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, rate hike expectations face a test #Want to buy right after selling, better to take a breather first $HYPE dropped about 4.4% over the past week, rebounded about 1.1% in the last 24 hours, but the short-term losses haven't been recovered yet. If you're thinking of switching to a more active coin just because it’s rising slowly, I would first check: has your judgment changed, or are you simply getting impatient? You should think clearly about selling your original holdings and buying new targets separately. Poor performance in the previous position doesn’t automatically make the next one a good deal. Especially when you see other coins have already risen for a while, it’s easy to mistakenly interpret "it’s stronger" as "it’s worth buying now." For now, I’m watching to see if the recovery can continue, without temporarily changing my pace just to catch a rally. $BEAT fell about 3.4% in the past 24 hours and hasn’t shown clear signs of strengthening yet. If you treat it as a place to switch positions just because the price has dropped, the new choice might not solve the original problem. I’d rather see if the rebound can sustain after the decline slows down. Without these changes, switching might just mean swapping for another coin to keep waiting. It’s okay to observe with a light position, but don’t raise your expectations too high yet. $RE dropped about 12% over the past week, rose about 1.5% in the last 24 hours, but the recovery is still limited. At times like this, it’s easy to want to quickly make up losses by increasing your next position size. But your account’s urgency might not be matched by the market. First, see if the rebound results can hold, then consider the potential ahead. Leaving some free funds after selling also gives you more time for your next judgment. After submitting an exit request, the validator does not immediately stop its responsibilities. After a validator applies to exit, it must wait for the protocol to schedule the exit epoch. As long as it remains in the queue and is active, it should stay online, complete attestations, and continue to be subject to normal penalties and slashing rules. Broadcasting the exit transaction successfully and immediately shutting down the machine may cause the validator to miss duties during the waiting period; mistakenly thinking it is safe and starting a duplicate instance poses even greater risks. Only at the exit epoch does the validator cease active duties, and afterward, it must wait until the funds are fully eligible for withdrawal. The queue length and specific timing vary with network conditions, so "applied," "exited," and "withdrawable" are three distinct stages. If the interface only shows a single exit button, it can easily obscure these boundaries. For $ETH stakers, exiting is not an instant redemption product but a state transition throttled by the protocol. The correct approach is to continuously monitor the validator’s status, confirm that duties have officially ended before taking the signing environment offline, and verify the withdrawal address. Rewards and penalties during the queue period will still affect the final withdrawable balance. The remaining stages of the exit process are still part of staking operations and maintenance and should not be abandoned prematurely just because the decision to leave has been made.October 11|Altcoin Midday Watch ONDO: $0.484, -1.03% in the past 7 days, +37.03% in 30 days. At this position, betting on an oversold rebound has a very high cost-performance ratio. I took a long position around 0.0997 with 3x low leverage, currently floating profit +3%. The target is very clear: at least expect a pullback to around 0.12. MAGIC has plunged from the high of 0.16379 and is now stabilizing around 0.10085. The MA60 above is short-term resistance; once broken, a rebound to MA120 or even 0.12 is expected. The dog whale has dumped so much, it’s time for a rebound. This wave of bullish rally has most likely ended; I choose to be fully bearish and short with full force. Previously, the price rose strongly, continuously hitting new highs. Many chased the uptrend, but a single large bearish candle trapped all those who chased above. The price quickly fell from the peak, indicating that the main funds at the high level chose to exit, making it difficult to quickly recover to previous highs in the short term. The resistance level above is 0.11221; as long as the price fails to stabilize above this on subsequent rebounds, every rebound is an opportunity to enter short positions. The support at 0.07351 is an important defense level for this round. Once this support is effectively broken, the downside space will further open. This surge and subsequent pullback, with profit giving back, has also sounded an alarm for me. Once the market reverses, do not harbor illusions; do not subjectively think the price can rally back. When it's time to change your approach, immediately reverse direction. Many traders remain stuck in the previous bullish mindset during trend reversals, repeatedly trying to bottom-fish and catching falling knives, resulting in greater losses. Bitcoin's current price is about 3.3% higher than the 7-day low of $80,393.56, while Ethereum is about 4.3% above its low of $2,406.11. Bulls and bears pay each other a fee; the side with more people receives payment from the other. Currently, Bitcoin's funding rate is -0.001034%, and Ethereum's is -0.005742%, both negative, indicating that shorts are paying longs, meaning short sellers are more crowded than long buyers. The long-short position ratio of 46.46:53.54 also confirms this, with shorts slightly dominant. Although the short-term trend isn't good and many people have started to be bearish again, they forget that UNI rose from 2.8 to 10.7, more than tripling from the bottom. If you look at spot DEX, consider UNI; for on-chain derivatives, look at HYPE. These two are indeed key representatives worth focusing on in their respective sectors. Didn't want to hold on anymore, got scared of holding. After closing, the position got much lighter, and I felt less tense. Only 1 position left, the one I've been holding for half a month, continuously adding to it. Today, it finally turned green. I stared at that green number for a long time. Half a month, from red to green, from loss to break-even, I can't even remember how many times I added to the position. Every time I added, I told myself "this is the last time," then added again next time. Today it finally turned positive. Not exactly happy, just finally able to breathe a little. Closing 2 positions is a relief, not because I'm bearish, but because I couldn't hold on anymore. The last position turning green is luck; after holding for half a month and adding countless times, turning green is luck, not skill. If the market had dropped a bit more, it would be a different story now. Adding to the position saved me but almost killed me too. It lowered the average price, giving me the chance to turn green today. But it also made the position heavier and heavier; if I hadn't held on, it would have been a disaster. Here's a breakdown 👇 1️⃣ How it was discovered A team used AI tools and submitted it through a bug bounty program. RippleX reproduced it and classified it as a critical issue. 2️⃣ Where the problem lies When a payment consumes a large number of orders consecutively, the accumulated amount overflows numerically: the seller receives the full amount, but the buyer is only charged a very small number, and the difference is XRP created out of thin air. The check that should have blocked the minting used the same algorithm, so it also failed to block it. 3️⃣ How it was fixed The development team released xrpld 3.4.1, first coordinating validators to upgrade, then publicly disclosing the issue. Some thoughts 💭 · Old code running smoothly for ten years doesn’t mean it’s problem-free · AI speeds up vulnerability discovery; both defenders and attackers are using it · The sequence of fixing first, then disclosing sets an example for other public chains · For those running their own nodes, please confirm you have upgraded to 3.4.1 Do you think AI auditing will make old public chains safer or make attacks easier?👀 The above is just a personal opinion and does not constitute investment advice. Cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile; please be cautious. $XRP #XRP #BlockchainSecurity #AIIn September, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw a net inflow of about $2.65 billion, indicating that institutional funds are still steadily increasing their positions through compliant channels. This serves as an important support for the current market recovery from lows. Unlike retail investors chasing rallies, ETF funds tend to be more allocation-oriented, which can improve market liquidity and reduce the probability of one-sided stampedes. Therefore, "institutional demand as a floor" is one of the core logics of the current market. However, we should not only look at the total inflow numbers. Citi raised its BTC target price to $113,000, reflecting a not pessimistic view on the medium-term trend. At the same time, it warned of an "ETF fund flow divergence," meaning that on a monthly/weekly basis, net inflows continue, but intraday or single-day data have diverged—some trading days see large inflows, others see net outflows. Funds are no longer uniformly bullish. This structure often appears after a period of price increase: early on, there is consensus buying; now, some institutions are taking profits while others buy on dips. Marginal buying is no longer as clean. The implication for the market is straightforward: as long as total inflows have not stopped, the trend has not been falsified. But increasing intraday divergence indicates rising selling pressure and disagreement above. Short-term movements are more likely to be choppy rather than a squeeze. In terms of trading, do not blindly interpret "ETF inflows continue" as a bullish signal—pay more attention to three types of signals: consecutive days of net outflows, large single-day redemptions, and price breaking key support without fund replenishment. As long as weekly net inflows continue and prices hold the medium-term moving averages, institutional demand is still effective; once "price drops + fund withdrawals" occur, the resonance repair logic must be re-evaluated. $BTC $ETH $ZEC $ONDO Tokenized real-world assets are interesting because they connect blockchain infrastructure with familiar financial products. $ONDO operates in this space, focusing on tokenized exposure to traditional financial assets. Pharaoh says directly, institutions are buying "bargains," while what you see is the "short-term K-line"; the two groups are simply not on the same wavelength. Institutions are indeed positioning. Morgan Stanley's MSBT Bitcoin ETF holdings have risen to 10,639 coins, valued at about $880 million. The three treasury companies Strategy, Metaplanet, and Strive collectively increased their net BTC holdings by 3,334 last week, with Strategy alone buying 334 coins at an average price of $85,838. So why is Bitcoin still under pressure? Three major burdens weigh it down. First, the macro environment is unfavorable. Middle East tensions have pushed oil prices up, with Brent crude briefly hitting $102. The 10-year US Treasury yield soared to 5.36%, and the 30-year to 5.73%, both hitting 24-year highs. Second, ETF funds are withdrawing. On October 7, Bitcoin ETFs saw a single-day net outflow of $485 million! Third, the Fed minutes are hawkish. The September minutes show most officials believe another rate hike may be needed before year-end, with AI investments and energy prices driving inflationary pressures. Institutions are buying based on "fiat depreciation in three to five years," while hedge funds are trading "this month's price spreads." One group focuses on fiscal deficits and sovereign credit, the other on US Treasury yields and rate hike paths. $ETH $ZEC #InstitutionsKeepPositioning, WhyIsBTCStillUnderPressure? BTC's annualized volatility has dropped to about 46% this year, compared to 84% in 2018. However, there have already been 10 "triple standard deviation volatility days" this year, more than the 8 times during the entire 2018 bear market. Simply put, it looks increasingly stable most of the time, but the number of sudden wild swings has actually increased. After ETFs and institutional funds entered the market, BTC's usual trading depth improved, making small fluctuations easier to absorb. The longer the market stays sideways, the more confident everyone becomes to leverage up and sell volatility, thinking that daily price changes of two or three percent already count as significant moves. But when positions get crowded, any sudden change in macro news or BTC breaking key price levels will trigger stop-losses, liquidations, and hedging orders simultaneously. That night, there was no negative policy news, nor any cooperation from external markets; it was purely liquidity being drained. Over the past year, while the US stock market kept hitting new highs, crypto has been weak all along. Ultimately, it's about slowly digesting the wounds left by that shock—both confidence and narrative were shattered, and their recovery is much slower than the price. But it's time to look forward. Leverage is something that only offers another chance if you're still alive. Where do you think the next real turning point will be? $BTCI used to think that things like "losing money" or "earning less than expected" were mistakes in investment, a lack of foresight. But now that I think about it, I believe that being able to execute my complete trading plan is a successful investment, even if it ends up in a loss.📊 1. Hardcore Market Analysis (15 minutes + 3 hours) 1. Small-scale structure (15 minutes): Downward stroke extension, breakdown and dip See Figure 2, the "central pivot shift downward" we predicted this morning has been realized. The price has steadily declined from 83,150, breaking below the morning low of 82,934, reaching a low of 82,800, and now returning to 82,877. According to Chan theory structure, the 15-minute level is currently extending the "downward stroke," with the center of gravity continuing to move down. The moving averages (MA5/10/20) form a bearish alignment around 82,950, MACD shows a death cross below the zero line, and the green bars (STICK -39.4) continue to release. This indicates that short-term bearish momentum remains, and the downward stroke has not yet been confirmed as ended. 2. Large-scale structure (3 hours): Consolidation after major central pivot support See Figure 1, the price previously precisely touched the large-scale central pivot (80,227-80,552) and then rebounded, now returning to 82,800. The large-scale central pivot support is effective. Currently, it is in a secondary retracement phase within the "downward stroke," and the direction is unclear.$BTC took a sharp hit, but instead of a decent rebound, it shrank into a narrow gap of less than six hundred dollars — after the crash, it’s not stabilizing, but stagnant water after liquidity dries up. The price is stuck firmly at 83,000, with 80,000 as the last strong support below, and a dense wall of trades pressing between 83,000 and 85,000 above. Intraday volatility is squeezed within six hundred dollars, with both bulls and bears holding back. Such extreme narrowing is often not a bottom, but a stalemate before a directional choice — no one wants to make the first heavy move, the market is waiting for an external trigger. Volume has collapsed to half the normal level, and every bounce is light and insubstantial, with no real money supporting the rise. The lower shadow is a wick, not a support, indicating attempts to prop up the price at the low level, but the strength isn’t enough to sustain a rally. The whole movement is a low-volume box, not a bottom formed by high volume. Institutions are still withdrawing; spot ETFs have net outflows this week, with money leaking out through compliant channels. On-chain old whales are starting to stir, showing signs of moving coins to exchanges, which are not signals of a bottom — a bottom is silent accumulation, not old money shifting to sell orders. The gap at 83,000 is tightly squeezed today, with no one willing to reveal their hand first. The real direction depends on which side breaks this gap with volume. For now, it’s a waiting game; don’t jump to conclusions prematurely. #Institutional Continuous Positioning, Why Does BTC Still Face Pressure? Institutions are buying, but the price is falling; this divergence needs to be analyzed separately. BTC has dropped from 87,000 to around 83,000. On the ETF side, from October 7 to 8, there was a cumulative net outflow of $731 million; although on the 9th there was a net inflow of $21.13 million, the inflow scale was only 3% of the outflow in the previous two days. In other words, most of the money that left has not returned. The capital flow is bearish in the short term. But on the other hand, institutional allocation has not stopped. Morgan Stanley's MSBT holds about 10,639 BTC, and Strive also plans to continue expanding its BTC treasury through preferred stock financing. These are long-term positions, focusing on value years from now, not on daily fluctuations. So institutions buying while prices fall is not contradictory; buying is slow, selling is fast, and short-term prices are determined by fast money. Why is fast money running? Because of macro pressure. U.S. Treasury yields remain above 5%, energy prices stay high, and CPI is about to be released. The market worries that if inflation does not drop, the Federal Reserve will have to continue tightening. In a high-interest-rate environment, capital prefers to wait and see until data is released before deciding the direction. BTC is under pressure near 83,000, with resistance between 83,500 and 84,500, and short-term support between 81,500 and 82,000; breaking below that could lead to 80,000. Next, it depends on the CPI. If core inflation is moderate and rate hike expectations cool down, combined with institutional buying and sentiment recovery, BTC has a chance to rebound and test 84,500. $BTC Sigh, staring at the screen, utterly exhausted. Even $SOL has turned against me today, only ETH is still struggling to hold on, and TRUMP is still gnawing away at the last flesh of the account. $ETH opened at 2495.23, current price 2499.26, long position floating profit 40.3U (+3.23%). Margin rate at 1,145%, liquidation far away at 2381, it is the only faint light in this suffocating market, yet it cannot illuminate the abyss ahead. $SOL opened at 109.56, current price 109.23, long position turned loss of 95.99U (-5.84%). The hope from a couple of days ago is completely shattered, dragged down hard by the market, margin rate at 853% still relatively safe, but it makes one feel deeply powerless. $TRUMP opened at 2.7029, current price 1.8693, long position bleeding loss of 833.63U, ROI -891.89%. Margin rate only 3.31%, clinging tightly to the liquidation line. The take profit is still a dream hanging at 3.0. It’s like a bottomless pit, slowly draining everything, I don’t even have the strength to struggle anymore, can only wait for fate’s judgment. The faint light can’t save the abyss, hope ultimately turns into bubbles. Holding on without stop loss only leaves despair in the end. Tonight is destined to be sleepless again, waiting for a miracle, or waiting for the final dust to settle. #CPI and PPI announcements imminent, interest rate hike expectations face test #Institutions continue to position, why is BTC still under pressure? #Check in with OKX at 2049 Logic: The 4H oversold rebound repair still failed to break through the strong resistance at 83500, and the 15m again fell below the short-term support at 82900. If 2500 breaks down with volume, enter short on the right side, set a proper stop loss. Retest 2451 to confirm support, add one long position; stop loss if it breaks 2404. On the hourly chart, ETH holds above 2521, target 2552-2606 upwards. Watch for a short position at 2552 on the upside; stop loss if it breaks 2606. Left-side spike orders: long at 2400, stop loss at 2357. Resistance above: 2521-2552-2606 Support below: 2500-2451-2404 On the 4-hour chart, if 2500 breaks down, look down to 2451-2404. ETH has returned to trading above 2500, indicating a temporary halt in the downtrend and a potential rebound. However, the rebound must break the secondary high at 2521 to continue upward towards 2552-2606; failing to surpass 2521’s secondary high is ineffective. If it pulls back and breaks below 2500, it will continue to test support at 2451. The 2500 level is the key long-short dividing line for ETH; staying above 2500 favors a rebound, while falling below 2500 suggests further pullback, signaling a pause. $BTC $SOL #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, testing rate hike expectations $ETH A minimum daily increase of 30% for 4 consecutive days, how many shorts does this want to kill, how many strong resistance levels have been broken, many of them. Those who shorted and got trapped earlier should thank you, otherwise how would they get out of their positions At noon, I want to tell you something while leaning on the table. On October 11 last year, my friend, a real friend, not just a "my friend," had 8.8 million U explode in his account that day. The coin dropped, positions were liquidated, and he owed the exchange 17 million. He hasn't recovered in these years. That day, the whole network liquidated 19.16 billion USD. What does that mean? The COVID crash was 1.2 billion, the FTX collapse was 1.6 billion, March 12 was 2 billion, and May 19 was only 5 billion. One day wiped out the total of all past black swan events. Then I see $XRP is now 1.39, down 1.2% in 24h, down 6.9% in 7 days. Volume shrank, usually 30% volume, no panic selling at all, and no one is rushing to buy. Everyone seems to have forgotten. Or rather, everyone thinks they won't be the person on that day. This is probably why one can forget 8.8 million in a year. About 542 million was withdrawn in one week, with BlackRock alone bearing nearly 90% of it. The US Ethereum spot ETF saw a net outflow of about $542.1 million in the week ending October 9, the largest single-week outflow since late January; a total net outflow of about $697.2 million over 9 consecutive trading days. BlackRock's ETHA had a weekly outflow of about $477 million, accounting for about 88% of the entire category. At the time of writing, BTC on OKX is about 82862, ETH about 2501. I think the real signal is: the outflow has continued for nine days straight without stopping, so whether it continues to pull out next week is more important than the single-day numbers. Do you bet that the outflow will stop this week, or will it continue to drop? Keep an eye on it, I'll continue to respond when the next batch of ETF flows come out. $ETH $NEAR NEAR's gains are expanding, but why is it still worth watching the resistance above? Today's early spot 24-hour observation window: range 4.927—5.439 USDT, change +7.47%, trading volume about 27.06 million USDT. The price is higher than yesterday's observed value but has not yet controlled the highest price in this window. Continuous leadership and profit-taking can occur simultaneously; high elasticity still requires confirmation of a low point in the next pullback, so tracking only net gains is insufficient. If multiple attempts to break above around 5.439 are sold off, first observe supply digestion; if it breaks through and does not fall back below the upper half of the old range, then the judgment on the sustainability of demand can be raised.0.09976! Just 0.00024 short, it didn’t even touch the 0.1 mark, and it chickened out. I stared at this number for a long time. A coin that rose from 0.017 all the way to 0.099, nearly a fivefold increase, logically should have pushed through the integer barrier in one go. But it stopped right here, like hitting an invisible wall, then turned around and dropped. What is this? This means even the whales don’t dare to buy above 0.1. That tiny gap is a psychological bait for retail investors, making you think "It’s about to break 0.1, rush in and you can still get a piece." And the result? $CAP dropped from 0.09689 to 0.08265, swung back and forth twice, now shrinking around 0.09. Those who chased in are all stuck above 0.095. I shorted in at 0.09031, very confident in my direction. This short position isn’t betting on an immediate crash, but that it no longer has the strength to push through 0.1 again. If it dares a fake breakout, I dare to add to my short. If it continues sideways, I’ll wait for it to exhaust the buy orders itself. $BTC $ETH #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test
