ETH surged to 2512 but was instantly slammed down! A whale has been aggressively dumping 8,000 ETH over 6 days—can the 2500 level hold?
On-chain data reveals the painful truth:
According to on-chain analyst Yu Jin's monitoring, POAP founder @worthalter sold 8,000 ETH in the past 6 days at an average price of $2601. Six hours ago, he transferred another 4,000 ETH to Gemini (worth $10.02 million). He currently still holds 51,468 ETH (worth $129 million). Large holders continue to offload above 2500, and selling pressure is real.
But institutional funds are buying on the dip:
Ethereum spot ETFs saw a net inflow of $102 million yesterday, marking 10 consecutive trading days of net inflows. BlackRock's ETHA had a single-day net inflow of $83.79 million, with a historical total net inflow of $12.737 billion; BlackRock's Staked ETH ETF ETHB had a single-day net inflow of $42.64 million. The total net asset value of ETFs reached $15.233 billion, showing institutional buying remains strong.
Key levels:
Resistance above: 2512-2520; support below: 2500 → 2450. Technical RSI is around 40, momentum is weak; 100-week EMA support is near $2561. The current price has fallen below this level. If the 2500 daily close fails to hold, the next support is expected in the 2400-2450 range.BTC is currently trading at about $82,900, up slightly 0.9% in 24 hours, but the weekly chart still shows a drop of about 2%, the first decline after three consecutive weeks of gains. The Fear and Greed Index is at 61, still in the "Greed" zone, but has noticeably fallen from 71 on October 2.
From the market perspective, 83,000 is the most critical battleground right now. This is both the average cost line for ETF investors and the support threshold of previous technical patterns, which has been repeatedly tested over the past few weeks. Coinbase has placed a buy order of about $5.31 million at $82,581 to support the bottom, indicating that funds are willing to buy at this level. However, the resistance between $86,700 and $87,570 is very strong, and BTC has unsuccessfully attempted to break through this range four times since September 21.
What really makes investors cautious is the macro environment. The 30-year US Treasury yield has surpassed 5.7%, the highest since 2002; the Federal Reserve just raised rates to 3.75%-4% in September, and the market prices in an 85% probability of another hike in December. A strong dollar and high interest rates continue to suppress liquidity, which is the biggest ceiling for BTC's rebound.
My personal judgment: the most likely scenario in the short term is oscillation between 82,000 and 86,700. The forecast market believes there is a 67% chance of falling below 80,000 in October, but whales have increased their holdings by about 15,000 BTC in the past 72 hours, and total ETF holdings have also exceeded 2 million BTC. The chips are shifting from weak hands to strong hands, which is not typical of a market top. $BTC $ETH $XAUT #CPI and PPI releases are imminent, and rate hike expectations face a test $PONS 继续拿着大方向还是看空 最近都在磨盘震荡 短线反弹量能极度萎缩

ETH's increase slightly outpaces BTC, but is the lead stable enough?
Today's early morning 24-hour spot observation window: range 2488.95—2519.28 USDT, change +0.64%, trading volume approximately 70.98 million USDT.
Both rose within the same window, with ETH's increase slightly larger, but the quote remains in the mid-range. Relative gains improvement is only the first layer of evidence; it does not directly imply on-chain revenue growth, nor does it necessarily mean the previous weakness has completely ended.
Next time BTC falls, if ETH loses 2488.95 faster, the lead assessment should be downgraded; if it repeatedly tests and holds the mid-range and recovers 2519.28, the recovery explanation will be more complete. Dune data: As of October 11, the total on-chain holdings of the US spot BTC ETF surpassed 2 million coins for the first time (approximately 2.013 million), accounting for 10.02% of the current BTC supply, with a market value of about $227.6 billion.
One-tenth of the coins are locked by ETFs
This milestone for $BTC is solid. Dune data shows that the total on-chain holdings of the US spot BTC ETF surpassed 2 million coins for the first time, about 2.013 million, accounting for 10.02% of the current BTC supply, with a market value of about $227.6 billion. One-tenth of Bitcoin is locked by ETFs.
On the flip side is $ETH, with spot ETF net outflows of $56.1 million on October 10, marking nine consecutive days of net outflows. You can clearly see which direction the money is flowing.
It might just be that the supply contraction narrative for $BTC is being personally written by the ETFs this time. 兄弟们,链上这张截图我研究很久。

Micron $MU drops a bombshell! The board approved an expanded stock buyback with a cap of $35.16 billion, effective December 9.
Originally, there was a $10 billion quota with $2.2 billion unused; this time it’s tripled directly. The stock price surged 260% this year, yet they still put real money on the table to support the price.
Management’s stance is clear: they believe the current stock price is still undervalued.
Additionally, HBM monthly capacity will double by year-end, with HBM4 products increasing to 50% of the mix. Institutional confidence is written into the buyback plan, not just empty verbal hype.
In contrast, $SKHYNIX Hynix is in a much more awkward position.
At the end of August, they announced a 40 trillion KRW buyback cancellation; the stock price rallied on the news, but this buyback fund will be exhausted by mid-October, and Samsung’s buyback funds are also depleted.
Goldman Sachs had previously warned that once buybacks stop, the market will enter a liquidity vacuum. A few days ago, Micron rose 4%, while Hynix fell; once the buying stops, there’s no support fund to prop up the price.
SanDisk $SNDK is taking a completely different route.
NAND price hikes are the strongest, with a 60% increase in Q1 and an expected 70% increase in Q2. They purely benefit from spot price hikes without relying on buybacks to support the price; the industry’s own prosperity drives the market upward.
#CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, and interest rate hike expectations face a test $LAB Demon coin is really powerful, the dog whales sure know how to play, stabbing up and down. Long-short ratio: Retail investors are extremely bullish, while whales are relatively restrained.
Binance retail long-short ratio is as high as 4.6338, OKX retail long-short ratio is 6.12.
Whale side: Whale count long-short ratio is 5.4475, but whale position long-short ratio is only 1.9386.
Extreme risk warning:
LAB is a highly controlled coin, and on October 14th, 16.23 million tokens will be unlocked, which is a clear selling pressure event. But the dog whales with a shady history could at any time pump a big bullish candle at very low cost to blow out the shorts (refer to previous multiple pump-and-dump events).
$BTC $ETH #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test #Institutions keep positioning, why is BTC still under pressure? #Check in with OKX at 2049 Everyone uses Alipay to buy Nasdaq or S&P ETFs, but now the limits are very strict, allowing only 5 or 10 yuan per day.
Countermeasures:
1: Alipay, banks, Tiantian Fund Network, etc., are distributors with small quotas; the fund company's official website direct sales have slightly higher quotas but are also limited.
2: When A-shares fall and U.S. stocks rise, the quota is quickly used up. There are off-market purchase limits and on-market premiums soar.
3: When U.S. stocks fall, more sell-offs occur, quotas gradually recover, and on-market premiums retract.
Therefore, if you have a sum of money or salary income that is insufficient to meet your expectations, you can hold onto this money and wait for U.S. stocks to fall. Once U.S. stocks drop, off-market quotas will partially open up, and on-market premiums will not be as high. It is more cost-effective to enter the market at this time.
U.S. stocks generally have 1-2 good entry opportunities per year. For example:
End of March and July 2026,
March and April 2025,
April and August 2024.
That's right, as mentioned in previous videos: it is more cost-effective to enter when the RSI indicator is oversold. At this time, off-market quotas are sufficient, and on-market premiums are low. After the rise, the next cycle will begin.Patricio (founder of the digital badge project POAP) deposited an additional 4,000 $ETH to Gemini (crypto exchange), amounting to $10.02M. 📦

· XRP / DOGE: Once plunged over 30%, becoming the mainstream coins with the deepest drop.
· DF: Fell over 42% in 24 hours, a halving-level drop in a single day.
· LPT / SHELL / PIXEL: Fell over 20%, 24%, and 15% respectively, showing clear liquidity exhaustion in altcoins.
· ETH / SOL: ETH once dropped over 17%, SOL liquidations reached as high as $1.995 billion.
🔍 What happened?
This was a bloodbath triggered by a macro black swan event + a chain of high-leverage liquidations:
· Trigger: Trump suddenly announced a new round of tariffs on China, putting global risk assets under pressure, with the crypto market, as a highly volatile market, hit first.
· Core reason: The market had previously accumulated extremely high leverage; after breaking key support levels, it triggered a "long liquidation cascade". About $19.2 billion liquidated across the network in 24 hours, over 1.64 million people liquidated, setting a new record.
· Liquidity exhaustion: Market makers prioritized protecting BTC/ETH under extreme conditions, abandoning support for small and mid-cap coins, causing coins like DF and LPT to experience cliff-like crashes and even brief zeroing out.
#CPI and PPI announcements imminent, interest rate hike expectations face tests #Institutions continue to position, why does BTC still face pressure? #Check in with OKX at 2049 $SPX I continue to see weakness in the next 24 hours, with the structure grinding downward. Current price is 0.3717, having retraced 45% from the 90-day high. Despite such a deep drop, it only moved -0.67% in 24 hours, without a single decent rebound; no one is absorbing the trapped positions above. After the sharp drop, it’s consolidating sideways in a narrow range, so the bearish structure is still in play. Checking back at this time tomorrow, it will still be weak; it’s not its turn to rebound.Weekend $BTC, the most frustrating thing is not the drop, but watching it move all day with hardly any opportunity in the account.
Looking at the market, BTC is now grinding around 83000, with a 24-hour low of 82530 and a high of 83129. On the hourly level, it touched a high of 83499 but hasn't broken out into any clear space since. The BOLL middle band is around 82928, the upper band at 83131, and the lower band at 82726. The price is basically hovering near the upper band, but volume has clearly shrunk.
With this kind of market, I actually don't want to rush into orders.
It rebounded from 80351 and has recovered quite a bit of lost ground, but after bouncing above 83000, there's no sign of strong acceleration yet. Looking up, 83400–83500 is the immediate hurdle; looking down, we need to see if 82900 can hold, then watch for support around 82700.
What I fear most now is not missing the move, but having no volatility over the weekend and forcing myself to find opportunities. Seeing a few green candles, I chase longs; after a couple of pullbacks, I start doubting again; wanting to short, but the price hasn't given a clear weakening signal. I've paid quite a bit in fees, but the direction just gets messier.
So for now, I'd rather wait. If volume expands and it holds above 83500, then see if there's room to continue upward; if 82900 breaks, watch if the pullback can be recovered. No rush to draw conclusions before confirmation.
After trading for a long time, I realize the real challenge isn't catching every move, but controlling your own hands when the market doesn't give you opportunities. The US September CPI will be released at 20:30 Beijing time on October 14.
The market currently expects the overall CPI to rise about 3.7% year-on-year, and the core CPI to rise about 2.5% year-on-year. Overall inflation may be pushed up by oil prices, but what the Federal Reserve really watches is the core data excluding food and energy.
For the crypto circle, I will prepare three scenarios in advance:
Below expectations:
US Treasury yields may fall back, BTC has a chance to break through 85,000, and ETH and SOL will have greater rebound elasticity.
In line with expectations:
The market will most likely continue to fluctuate, BTC will still be in the 82,000–85,000 range, and chasing the rise is not very meaningful.
Above expectations:
Rate hike expectations will heat up again, BTC will first look for support at 82,000, and if lost, may retest 80,000. Watch ETH at 2450, SOL at 105 to 108.
Before this CPI release, I will not open positions too heavily. Although BTC has returned to around 83,000, US Treasury yields are still high, and the market has not yet shaken off macro pressure.
It is best to keep positions light before the data comes out, add more if below expectations. If significantly above expectations, wait for the first round of decline to end, do not rush the first dip. 1. The September FOMC meeting minutes released a hawkish stance, with most officials believing there is still a possibility of another rate hike within 2026; multiple Federal Reserve officials publicly stated that inflation remains stubborn and do not rule out further tightening of monetary policy, causing U.S. Treasury yields to rise and continuously suppress risk assets.
2. Key time windows: October 14 U.S. CPI inflation data; October 27-28 FOMC policy meeting, the most important events determining the short-term direction of the crypto market.
3. Market expectations: rate cut expectations continue to be delayed, and U.S. dollar liquidity becomes the primary variable influencing the overall market. #AI与量子威胁下,区块链安全如何升级? $ETH $BTC
No liquidity over the weekend, 83000 was tested all night.
Yesterday the high was 83137, entering the given resistance zone of 83000–83500, but it did not sustain and continued to fall, the 80500 target was not reached.
Currently around 83000, this round of correction is not over yet, today the main strategy is to short on rebounds, but not to open shorts directly here.
1. Resistance not reclaimed, buyers and sellers are still testing each other
Daily EMA21 is about 83100, 1-hour EMA200 about 83600, resistance above remains. 24-hour open interest increased only by 0.28%, active selling slightly dominates, funding rate is slightly negative: no obvious position increase breakout, but beware of short squeezes.
On Friday, ETF net inflow was $21.1 million, but the whole week still saw a net outflow of about $679 million, spot buying has not fully returned yet.
2. Stay out of positions and wait for a better entry; if already short, do not add to the position
Prefer to wait for a failed breakout in the 83300–83700 range, then a 1-hour close below 83300, followed by a rebound that fails to hold above, then consider a small short position.
Stop loss at 84400, first take partial profits at 81600, then look for 80500. If the 4-hour candle closes above 83500 and holds on a pullback, cancel the short plan, do not stubbornly hold.
Today's profit comes from the pullback after the failed breakout, not from betting on how long it will consolidate before falling. If conditions are not met, do not trade. "The Storage Three Fools: One Buyback, One Price Hike, One Running Bare"
$MU $SNDK
🔥Micron: Added 35.16 billion buyback, effective in December! Original quota remaining 2.2 billion, tripled the amount. HBM capacity to double by year-end, HBM4 proportion increased to 50%, heavy investment to support, management optimistic about valuation.
😮💨SK Hynix: 40 trillion KRW buyback finished by mid-October, Samsung's buyback funds also exhausted. Once buyback stops, liquidity vacuum appears; Micron rose 4% while it still falls, no support funds.
📈SanDisk $SNDK: NAND prices surged, Q1 up 60%, Q2 expected +70%, benefiting from price hikes, not relying on buyback support.
Clear differentiation among the three: Micron spends big to support, SanDisk takes off on price hikes, SK Hynix runs bare after buyback ends.
Do you have a positive outlook on the storage sector's upcoming market?👇
#CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test These two long positions are currently both in unrealized loss.
The ETH long position is 20x full margin, with an average entry price of 2669.01, currently an unrealized loss of 56263U, a return rate of -124.43%, and an estimated liquidation price of 2312.23. The position size is very large; under full margin mode, if the price continues to drop, it will approach the liquidation line, creating heavy pressure.
The HYPE long position is 4x full margin, with an average entry price of 94.084, currently an unrealized loss of 479U, a return rate of -38.29%. Compared to ETH, the leverage is much lower, so the risk pressure is smaller, but it is still trapped.
Reviewing the historical realized profits and losses, both assets have consistently lost in past trades. This is how the futures market works: if the direction is wrong, leverage will quickly amplify losses. The current focus is to closely monitor ETH's liquidation defense position and plan a response: whether to hold the position and wait for a rebound, or to cut losses and exit to control total loss.
Trading should never only focus on profits; it is also crucial to understand the worst-case loss for each trade.

$BTC $ETH #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, rate hike expectations face a test #Institutions continue to position, why is BTC still under pressure? #PIMCO warns 10-year US Treasury yield could reach 6% #CPI与PPI公布在即,加息预期迎考验 CPI week approaching: dual test of inflation and consumption, BTC awaits directional choice
This week features intensive key US data releases: On October 14 at 20:30, September CPI and core CPI will be announced; on the 15th at the same time, PPI, retail sales, and initial jobless claims will be released. The previous FOMC minutes showed most officials believe there may be another rate hike this year, but there is significant disagreement on timing. As of October 10, the market prices about an 18% chance of a 25 basis point hike in October, favoring action in December.
Logical analysis: Rising energy prices may push overall inflation higher, but core CPI is the key—if core inflation is moderate, it will strengthen expectations of a pause in rate hikes, benefiting BTC and other risk assets; if inflation and consumption exceed expectations, it could increase the probability of an October rate hike, suppressing risk appetite. Retail and employment data reflect demand resilience and also influence interest rate path pricing.
Trading strategy: Avoid heavy positions before data release. If CPI exceeds expectations and BTC rebounds with low volume, consider light short positions with stop loss at previous highs; if core inflation cools and BTC breaks key resistance with volume, watch for short-term long opportunities following the trend. If PPI and retail data align with CPI direction, volatility will amplify. Core principle: volatility will rise during data week, control leverage, and set proper stop losses. Two long positions, one steady and one aggressive.
BTC long position, 50x full position, average holding price 82869.3, current unrealized profit 1908U, return rate +11.19%, estimated liquidation price 75873.8. This is a base long-term position, heavy allocation, high leverage; in full position mode, a rapid spike down can easily trigger liquidation, so always watch the defense level closely.
NEAR long position, 20x full position, average holding price 4.5690, current unrealized profit 3451U, return rate directly pulled up to +305.25%, the profit core of this account group. Small coins have strong explosive power but more brutal volatility; while profits are rich, large drawdowns can come at any time.
Looking back at realized profits and losses, past trades suffered significant losses, indicating that money earned in the contract market is not easy to keep. Unrealized profit is just a book figure; only realized profit counts as earnings. The plan is to take profits in batches, first locking in most of NEAR's profits, and setting a trailing stop loss on BTC to protect existing unrealized profits, not giving all profits back to the market.
Always remember, leverage can amplify profits but will amplify risks even more.

#CPI and PPI releases imminent, rate hike expectations face a test #BTC spot ETF sees nearly $450 million outflow in three days #CPI and PPI releases imminent, rate hike expectations face a test #CPI and PPI Releases Imminent, Interest Rate Hike Expectations Face Test
[Old Leek Observation] This week, it is recommended to focus on three key signals: core CPI, the US 10-year Treasury yield, and the US dollar index.
This Wednesday and Thursday, the US September CPI and PPI will be released consecutively. For the crypto market, these are not just two economic data points but a stress test for rate cut expectations.
Why is this worth attention?
🔥 First, CPI determines whether inflationary pressure has eased.
If both headline CPI and core CPI exceed market expectations, it indicates that US price pressures may remain stubborn. Market expectations for Federal Reserve rate cuts may cool down, and the US dollar and Treasury yields may strengthen, putting pressure on risk assets like $BTC.
📊 Second, PPI may reveal cost pressures on the corporate side.
PPI reflects changes in producer prices. If production-side prices continue to rise, the market may worry that cost pressures will continue to transmit to the consumer side. However, PPI does not transmit one-to-one to CPI and must be judged in conjunction with specific sub-items.
⚠️ Third, what truly impacts BTC is the gap between data and expectations.
If inflation is lower than expected, the market may reprice easing expectations, giving risk assets a chance to gain support; if inflation exceeds expectations, rate cut expectations may cool further, and highly leveraged positions should be wary of amplified volatility. $MAGIC $ETH Don't be fooled by the 24-hour net inflow! $BTC, $ETH, $SOL, $ZEC, short-term funds are collectively withdrawing!
Key points for the brothers: short-term bearish bias, don't rush to chase the rebound!
🟠 $BTC: 5-minute net outflow of 8.07 million, 4-hour outflow of 172 million, 8-hour outflow of 158 million. Although there is a 24-hour net inflow of 55.51 million, nearly 3.313 billion outflow in the past week, short-term selling pressure is obvious.
🔵 $ETH: 4-hour outflow of 99.32 million, 8-hour outflow of 127 million, but 24-hour inflow of 58.63 million. Short-term funds continue to withdraw, mid-term funds have not yet shown obvious recovery.
🟣 $SOL: 4-hour outflow of 8.92 million, 8-hour outflow of 13.68 million, but 24-hour inflow of 20.12 million. Short-term is weak, but it cannot be said that funds are fully bearish for now.
🟢 $ZEC: 8-hour outflow of 22.77 million, 24-hour slight inflow of 880,000, nearly 299 million outflow in the past week, fund performance remains weak.
My judgment: Most of the four coins show net outflow in the short cycle, indicating short-term funds are still withdrawing. But the 24-hour data is not entirely bearish; the market cannot be judged as definitely falling based solely on fund flows.🔥 $FIL Bullish Logic for October: Is the Opportunity Really Over?
Many people only focus on FIL's short-term decline, overlooking the changes behind it.
📌 **Supply Side:** In October, the vesting release from Protocol Labs and the Filecoin Foundation is expected to end, which should reduce new supply pressure. However, whether the price can rise still depends on market demand and actual selling pressure.
🤖 **AI Narrative:** AI development requires not only computing power but also storage. Training data, model weights, and operation logs all need reliable storage infrastructure. Filecoin is expanding verifiable storage and on-chain cloud services through products like Onchain Cloud, Filecoin Pay, and Filecoin Pin.
🚀 **Key to the Future:** If paid storage demand continues to grow and ecosystem applications gradually land, combined with supply changes, FIL has the chance to regain investor attention.
I am optimistic about FIL's long-term value but do not blindly predict short-term gains. In October, focus on supply changes, trading volume, and ecosystem progress.
Believe in the logic, but respect the market!

There's a small resistance at 0.2350 above, but the support at 0.2180 is as solid as iron. Funds have already started to sneak in.
I'm planning to gradually position near 0.2238, with a stop loss at 0.2150. The first target is 0.2400, which offers a reasonable risk-reward ratio.

Exchange listing (bullish): BingX officially launched MAGIC spot trading on October 10.
Risk warning: No substantial fundamental positives
MAGIC is an old blockchain game token; core TVL has dropped to zero, the project has undergone multiple restructurings, fundamentals are very weak. This surge is purely leveraged speculation by fast-moving traders; 24-hour volume is nearly 8 times the market cap, on-chain data shows signs of manipulation. Although the overall trend is downward, speculative traders may suddenly pump to trigger short squeezes.
Potential unlocking pressure: The market previously focused on about 13 million MAGIC tokens potentially unlocking, which could be a source of selling pressure later.

Mizuho set a target price of 2050, but the market voted with its feet.
On October 6, Mizuho raised SNDK's target price from 1875 to 2050, citing storage demand driven by "Agentic AI," expecting AI workloads to consume 22% of NAND demand by 2030. However, the day after Mizuho's call, SNDK actually dropped 4.9%. This shows the market is starting to diverge on the AI storage narrative—analysts look at 2030, traders focus on next quarter's orders.
Short sellers were squeezed hard, now it's the bulls' turn to hold.
Data from S3 Partners shows SNDK short sellers have been crushed this year, with short positions dropping from over 4% to about 2%, a big surrender by the shorts. There was a whale with 10x leverage shorting at an average price of 1485, once floating a loss of 6.7 million. With shorts gone, now it depends on whether the bulls can hold.
The next milestone is the Q1 earnings report on October 29. The average target price from 25 analysts is 2173, 37% higher than the current price. But the options market expects volatility of ±8.1% over the next week, indicating short-term divergence remains large.
Let's discuss in the comments: is this a buying opportunity or a sign of catching a falling knife for the storage sector? 👇
#CPI and PPI releases are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test $STRK combined with the current technical and fundamental aspects, STRK is in a high-level consolidation phase after a strong short-term breakout.
Technical points: The daily price has effectively broken through the upper Bollinger Band (0.0953), SuperTrend support has moved up to 0.0820, SAR is at 0.0510, indicating a medium-term bullish trend. Key resistance above is referenced at the 24-hour high of 0.12421, the first support below is near VWMA10 at 0.0707, with strong support around 0.063.
Bullish drivers (positive): The core catalyst comes from StarkWare's CEO's statement about considering turning Starknet into an independent Layer 1 to accelerate quantum resistance upgrades. The market expects full quantum security could be achieved as early as 2027, ahead of Ethereum's 2029 target. Additionally, the strkBTC incentive program and privacy narrative have previously attracted some Bitcoin capital inflows, jointly pushing the price to a new yearly high.
Bearish factors and risks: First is supply pressure. STRK continues monthly unlocking, with early contributors and investors strongly motivated to sell unlocked tokens. The supply shock on a single unlock day can account for more than 4% of circulating supply.
Comprehensive judgment: No financial advice ⚠️
The current rise is mainly event-driven and a rebound from oversold conditions, with strong short-term momentum but lacking real on-chain revenue support. The risk of chasing highs is significant, and caution is needed regarding pullback pressure after positive news is realized. Big players lose digital assets, we lose our lives.
Every day, just the funding fee costs 9.43 million U, losing 50 million? That's called paper volatility.
In the crypto world, it's often said: longs are in the stratosphere, shorts are in the basement. But this big player refuses to believe that, placing 130 million short positions on the table, with an unrealized loss close to 50 million U, without even blinking.
What kind of divine position can withstand such an unrealized loss? Let's look at the data directly:
BTC short (5X full position)
Position: -2853.4 coins | Entry price: 76152 | Unrealized loss: -18.55 million U
ETH short (5X full position)
Position: -112,000 coins | Entry price: 2322 | Unrealized loss: -19.19 million U
$SOL short (10X full position)
Position: -742,000 coins | Entry price: 94 | Unrealized loss: -11.52 million U
You lose 500 U and can't sleep, he loses 50 million U and is drinking tea.
He loses paper wealth, you lose real money. Shorting in a bull market is like betting your life on a pullback; if you win, you profit, if you lose, you go straight to zero. Watching the show is fine, but following the crowd is certain death. $BTC #CPI and PPI announcements are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test An arithmetic overflow vulnerability lurking in the XRPL payment engine for nearly a decade suddenly surfaced, narrowly avoiding theoretical infinite issuance across the entire network. Although investigations show that the public network was not actually attacked, this potential extreme inflation risk still quietly stirred underlying waves in the market.
What truly triggered deep market sentiment fluctuations was this extremely rare handling approach. To avoid the conventional two-week voting cycle becoming an attack vector for hackers, the official side broke the amendment consensus practice of more than ten years by directly pushing the 3.4.1 node version and rapidly achieving over 80% upgrade without the source code being made public. This strong intervention, which maximized security levels, quickly eliminated the tail risk of chips being diluted out of thin air, but also caused some sensitive funds to begin re-examining the decentralization premium and governance boundaries.
Although the Damocles sword of malignant inflation was safely dismantled, the conflict between emergency efficiency and on-chain native rules continues to reshape the risk preferences of both bulls and bears. The current $XRP position structure is digesting this sudden technical shock. The key going forward lies in how the node ecosystem handles governance disputes and whether the market can re-anchor the asset's trust foundation through a compromise between efficiency and consensus. 📉 Don't mistake the rebound for a reversal; this wave is more like a "breather" during the downtrend. The FOMC minutes were hawkish, with most officials still leaning toward further rate hikes. A pause in rate hikes is just holding position, not a shift to easing; institutions are actually more cautious about the rate path and have even raised their expectations.💸
$BTC and $ETH ETFs continue to see net outflows, with new funds slow to arrive, so the market can only rely on oversold recovery to hold up. $BTC faces clear resistance around 83,500‑84,000; until it breaks through effectively, it can only be defined as a recovery rally. $ETH is weaker, with 2,400 as the short-term critical lifeline; losing that level would further increase risk.⚠️
🗓️ October 14 CPI is the key observation point. Before the data is released, it's unwise to blindly bottom-fish or mistake the rebound for a trend. Holding key support and waiting for confirmation signals is more important than trying to predict the market early.🧭

There are still two months to profit from shorting, maybe next year it will become a commemorative coin. Although retail and big investors failed, the project team succeeded because they cashed out over 20 billion!
Come on, hurt each other, should I pack up and run, waiting for the big shots to give guidance. Updating some views on the market outlook:
1. Funds are starting to flow into second-tier value coins, those with market caps of a few hundred million. STRK has risen from two or three hundred million to 800 million. Second-tier value coins have unique advantages: greater price elasticity while also having value-backed safety support. Holding at the cost price on the 5th floor feels very comfortable and the movement is very smooth.
2. If we count the market trend starting from mid-August, the flow of funds from large coins to small coins is quite reasonable. However, the market has already been running for nearly two months. If we consider a 100-day cycle, it means there is still about 1/3 of the time left to play. For now, let's define this as the final acceleration phase.
3. Benchmarks are very important. The leaders in the past two months—ZEC, ENA, NEAR—have all risen two to three times from the bottom. Facts also prove that most coins will not exceed the gains of the leaders. Of course, QNT had major news support and surged 5 times. Expectations for other coins should not surpass the leaders. This wave can see STRK as the benchmark and the ceiling of expectations. However, compared to the first-tier coins in the past two months, expectations for second-tier coins can be slightly higher but not too exaggerated.
4. Most coins are telling new stories, trying as much as possible to approach privacy coins, stocks, and traditional finance. Coins like TIA and STRK are putting on new skins. Whether this is just following the narrative for a speculative wave or a real story requires careful discernment.ETF outflows have finally stopped: BTC spot ETF saw an inflow of over 20 million on Friday.
After two consecutive days of outflows (nearly 490 million on the 7th alone), it finally turned positive. Whales are also withdrawing coins from exchanges, easing selling pressure.
But ETH is still bleeding: spot ETF outflows have continued for 9 days, with nearly 540 million running off in the last 5 trading days.
JUP rose over 10% in 24h, nearly 16% for the week.

$BTC $ETH #CPI and PPI releases are imminent, interest rate hike expectations face a test #Institutions continue to build positions, why is BTC still under pressure? I've been looking over the on-chain screenshots repeatedly for a long time 🤔
Big bro Maji has completely changed his strategy this time! No more long-short hedging, all three positions on $BTC $ETH $SOL are short, with a total position value exceeding 600 million U!
Breaking down these three heavy short positions:
▪️BTC: 2,853 coins, 5x leverage, average entry price around 76,380, unrealized loss close to 19.3 million U
▪️ETH: 111,800 coins, 5x leverage, average entry price around 2,318, unrealized loss 19.7 million U
▪️$SOL: 741,900 coins, 10x leverage, average entry price 94.6, unrealized loss 11.7 million U
Among the three, SOL faces the greatest pressure! The current price has pulled away from the entry cost by more than ten points, and it is the only one among the three positions leveraged up to 10x.
But I don't agree that it will be liquidated in the short term.
The liquidation prices for the three positions are 137,200, 3,890, and around 314 respectively.
Simply put: BTC needs to rise more than 60%, ETH over 50%, and SOL nearly double to hit the liquidation line.
Another key point: he has been collecting funding fees!
The cumulative funding fees from the three short positions amount to nearly 9.5 million U, meaning the longs in the market are paying him interest every day.
So he chooses to stay put.
The unrealized loss of over 50 million looks shocking, but what he is mainly consuming now is time cost, not margin.
But there is a thought-provoking question:
If the market reverses later and funding fees turn from positive to negative, no longer bringing in interest, will he still maintain this calm? The BTC 4H chart confirms a textbook false breakdown along the lower consolidation boundary, as price sharply bounced from $81,000 to reclaim the $83,000 support floor. This aggressive shakeout confirms that buyers have absorbed capitulation supply to re-establish upside dominance. The preferred strategy is to enter a Long position around $83,000–$83,100 with a stop-loss parameter below $82,324.75, targeting the $89,990.20 objective for an asymmetric risk-to-reward setup. $BTC Discussing several major recent positives for $ICP
1. The ".icp" generic top-level domain (gTLD) application has passed ICANN's preliminary review, representing an attempt to bridge traditional internet and on-chain computing. This is an early stage, and full implementation may still take several years.
2. Record-breaking on-chain revenue
In October 2026, monthly on-chain protocol revenue exceeded approximately $360,000 (a new high), and weekly revenue once approached $97,000. Revenue mainly comes from developers converting ICP to and burning "cycles" to pay for computation and storage fees. Continuous expansion is needed to substantively support valuation.
3. Sovereign cloud technology stack for the AI era, already in use by governments and NGOs (such as projects related to Pakistan and UNDP). Williams stated this will be one of the most critical turning points since the mainnet launch, targeting the trillion-dollar cloud market.
The advancement of the .icp domain is progressing smoothly, significantly enhancing ICP's utility and visibility. These factors are positive for short-term sentiment and medium-to-long-term fundamentals.#CPI与PPI公布在即,加息预期迎考验
Next week's data will decide whether there will be a rate hike in October.
At 8:30 PM Beijing time on October 14, the US September CPI and core CPI will be released. At the same time on the 15th, PPI, retail sales, and initial jobless claims will be published together. These data sets combined are the most important reference before the Federal Reserve meeting on October 28.
The current pricing is very delicate. As of October 10, the market's bet on a 25 basis point rate hike in October is only 18%, leaning more towards action in December. A week ago, this number was still 70%, dropping quickly. But note, a drop in probability does not mean the Fed has turned dovish. The September minutes show most officials believe another hike may be needed this year, just differing on timing. The market pushing the hike timing from October to December is not canceling the hike, just postponing it.
So next week's data is crucial. Rising energy prices may push overall inflation higher; core CPI truly tests whether price pressures have spread. If core CPI is moderate, the market will strengthen pause expectations, the dollar and US Treasury yields will fall, and BTC has a chance to rebound and test 84500 or even 85000. If core CPI is strong, or retail and employment data are too robust, the probability of an October hike will rise again, BTC will face direct pressure around 83000, with short-term support between 81500 and 82000; breaking that looks toward 80000.
For BTC, now is the time to wait for the data. $BTC $BTC prediction markets believe there is a 31% chance that BTC will rise to $100,000 before 2027. This is not exactly the kind of bullish consensus everyone has been shouting about.

#Russia relaxes diesel exports, Hormuz risk still supports oil prices ETF has been selling for eight consecutive days, yet the price is rising
The spot ETF of $ETH has had net outflows for eight consecutive days.
During the same period, the price has risen from a low point.
Where is this money coming from:
In the first week of October, the net outflow of $BTC and $ETH ETFs exceeded $1.2 billion.
On October 7, $BTC had a single-day outflow of 484.9 million, the largest day since the end of June.
How is this number calculated:
The price rose from 80400 to 82600, not driven by buying.
It’s because sellers temporarily stopped, the order book is thin, and a small amount of buy orders can push the price up.
Between 83300 and 84600, there are 1.59 million chips stacked, which is short-term support.
80400 is the bottom line; if this support order breaks, it will turn into selling pressure.
Before the CPI release on October 14, the direction is all speculation.
Low expectations allow risk assets to catch a breath; high expectations lock in a rate hike in December.
Between 83500 and 84000, every time the price goes up, it gets sold off.
If there is a real move, wait for the price to reach that range first.

BTC volatility narrows, can weekend stability be considered a new support?
Today's early spot 24-hour observation window: range 82562.5—83169 USDT, change +0.45%, trading volume about 149.9 million USDT.
The price difference within this window is less than 1%, milder compared to previous wide declines. The narrow range could come from a temporary balance between bulls and bears, or simply reduced participation over the weekend; the market has not shown evidence of ETF inflows resuming or institutions changing their allocations.
If after narrowing it first breaks below 82562.5 and cannot recover, the stability interpretation should be downgraded; if it surpasses 83169 and then retests to maintain a higher low, it increases the judgment of active demand. Conclusion first: $TIA rose from 0.47 to 0.63 today, up 26% in 24 hours — this is not following the sector, but an independent rally supported by its own strength.
The key is on the 4H chart. The $0.50 level has been tested three times in the past month, each time holding around that price.
Today finally brought the result: the 4H candle closing at 08:00 directly broke above 0.60, with a volume of 18.57 million contracts, 11 times that of the same period the previous day. This is not emotional impulse, but a breakout after accumulation.
Looking at the volume rhythm: the 20:00 candle on October 10 was a warm-up (3.95 million contracts), at 0:00 it expanded to 9.55 million, at 4:00 it exploded to 18.10 million, and at 8:00 it maintained a high level of 18.57 million. Price moves first, volume follows, the rhythm is very healthy.
Today's market background is BTC steady around 83k, breadth is slightly warm but most altcoins are quiet. TIA moving now indicates funds are actively selecting sectors, not just waiting for the market to lead.
There hasn't been any major catalyst recently in the Celestia ecosystem; this breakout is more due to technical strength itself. But frankly, after a real breakout, no explanation is needed — the market is always right.
Do you think 0.63 can hold? Why is $83,000 BTC so critical?
From a market structure perspective, $83,000 is the average holding cost line for ETF investors, and it is also the threshold corresponding to the previous higher high in the technical pattern. In recent weeks, Bitcoin has tested this area multiple times.
Luke Deans, Senior Researcher at Bitwise Europe, pointed out that if Bitcoin struggles to regain this level, lower structural support targets need to be considered. Currently, analysts generally regard $77,000 as the strongest support level—on-chain data shows that a significant portion of Bitcoin supply was purchased around this price, forming a clear concentration of holding costs.
Further down, $74,000 corresponds to the cost basis of short-term holders, while the 200-day moving average is near $72,000.The NEAR account supports the quantum-resistant signature algorithm ML-DSA and achieves a smooth upgrade without asset migration, marking significant breakthroughs and industry trend shifts in several key dimensions:
In traditional public chain designs, addressing the threat of quantum computers to elliptic curve cryptography often requires an extremely complex and high-risk hard fork, forcing users to manually transfer assets to entirely new post-quantum addresses.
Thanks to NEAR's inherent "smart contract account and key separation" architecture, accounts themselves support attaching multiple types of public keys and permissions.
Seamless and imperceptible upgrade: users can directly add or rotate to ML-DSA signature keys without cross-chain or asset migration, proving that key upgrades can become routine on-chain operations rather than one-time destructive forks.
A typical weakness of elliptic curves on-chain is that once a transfer occurs, the public key is exposed in plaintext on-chain, allowing quantum computers to reverse-engineer the private key via Shor's algorithm.
NEAR introduces an extensible signature mechanism supporting ML-DSA in the Intents wallet and designs an external chain-oriented "Q-day recovery registration mechanism."
This signifies NEAR's attempt to establish itself as a "quantum-resistant security hub" for cross-chain interaction and account abstraction layers.
Previously, the vast majority of crypto protocols' defenses against quantum attacks remained theoretical; NEAR is among the first mainstream high-performance L1 public chains to formally engineer and deploy the NIST official standard into its mainnet/testnet ecosystem.$ARB
Arbitrum's challenge is not simply attracting transactions; it is turning network activity into a durable ecosystem. DeFi applications, liquidity, and user retention all contribute to the bigger picture. Competition between Layer-2 networks remains intense, and incentives can distort activity figures. Sustainable growth depends on whether users continue using applications when temporary rewards become less attractive.
