Many people think that as long as they are bullish on Bitcoin in the long term, buying shares of publicly listed companies that hold large amounts of Bitcoin is equivalent to indirectly holding Bitcoin. But a recent event on Wall Street made me feel that this logic might not be as simple as imagined. On October 15, the globally renowned index company MSCI announced that it will adopt new screening rules for non-operating companies. According to the new rules, some companies that mainly rely on holding financial assets rather than creating value through actual business operations may no longer meet the inclusion criteria for certain stock indices. One company drawing significant attention is Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, with the stock code MSTR. This company is famous for buying large amounts of Bitcoin, allowing many traditional stock investors to indirectly participate in the Bitcoin market by purchasing MSTR. But now, a practical issue has arisen: if Strategy is ultimately removed from some MSCI indices, funds tracking these indices may need to sell MSTR shares. The currently discussed related passive investment scale is estimated to be about $2.8 billion. Note, this does not mean that $2.8 billion has already been withdrawn, nor does it mean that Strategy must sell $2.8 billion worth of Bitcoin. It implies a potential risk of stock capital outflow. There is a fundamental difference between the two. The most noteworthy aspect of this matter is not a change in Bitcoin technology. Rather, it is that traditional financial markets may be redefining the investment attributes of a company holding cryptocurrency. Over the past few years, Strategy has formed a承重墙出现了十五个百分点的贯穿裂缝,而总承包商却在同一天对外宣称地基应力正在优化。
【TSLA Tesla Q3 Earnings Preview|October 21 After US Market Close】
⚠️Personal opinion only, not investment advice, US stock market is highly volatile
Q3 deliveries were 486,532 vehicles, exceeding market expectations but down 2.1% year-over-year. Many think that exceeding delivery expectations will lead to a big rally, but my view is different:
Deliveries only support sentiment at the bottom and are unlikely to significantly improve automotive gross margins. The global electric vehicle price war continues, with Model 3/Y as the sales mainstay, putting pressure on unit prices. Although capacity utilization and supply chain cost reductions provide slight benefits, the core focus is automotive gross margin excluding carbon credits. If margins continue to decline, even if deliveries meet targets, the stock price will remain under pressure.
This quarter, the real factor determining stock price resilience is the AI narrative in the earnings call.
✅ Optimus humanoid robot: capacity ramping up, currently mainly collecting data internally at factories, still far from large-scale commercial monetization externally. The market is fatigued by pure storytelling; verifiable and practical data is needed to stimulate the market.
My personal forecast:
Simply meeting delivery targets is insufficient to drive a big rally.
👉 Best case: margin stabilization + substantial AI business progress, leading to strength after hours;
👉 Worst case: margins below expectations, AI only vision without real data, likely to see gains fade after initial spike.
In summary: short-term focus on automotive gross margin, long-term valuation depends on AI robots, maintain a neutral stance and cautiously play for a one-sided big rally.

Circle CEO announced plans to expand USDC to about 40 emerging markets, targeting Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. However, after the news broke, Circle's stock price still dropped 5.46% on October 16. The story is big, but the funds haven't applauded yet.
USDC's circulation reached $73.3 billion in Q2, a 19% year-over-year increase; on-chain transaction volume surged 151% to $14.8 trillion. It looks impressive, but Circle's revenue and reserve income only grew 7%, reaching $701 million. Transaction volume does not equal revenue; these figures must be accounted for separately.
What Circle really wants to do is transform USDC from a crypto trading tool into a digital dollar for cross-border payments. The 40 markets are just an expansion plan; whether it can be implemented depends on local regulations, payment channels, and real users.
There is definitely great long-term potential for stablecoin payments, but USDC circulation growth cannot be directly equated with a surge in Circle's profits. If new markets bring continuous issuance and payment income grows in sync, then the story will be fulfilled; if scale increases but profits are dragged down by falling interest rates, the market will still pour cold water on it.
$BTC is now at $81,658, with the descending pressure line at $82,424 continuously pressing down daily. Here, I am WAITING, neither chasing longs nor shorts. My own long position average price is $83,030, currently at an unrealized loss, so I’m holding for now, waiting for a signal.
A) If volume increases and it stabilizes above $82,600, expect a rebound to around the POC at $83,325; breaking below the $82,424 pressure line would invalidate this.
B) If the price is pushed back and cannot hold between $82,600 and $82,892, then look for a drop to support at $80,478, and further down to the $79,714-$81,033 range. Holding above $82,892 would invalidate this scenario. The $82,892 level has been tested 17 times, held 8 times, broken 7 times, and 2 times with no reaction, so it’s not an easy level to break.
At $82,600, I will take profit on half my position and move the stop loss on the remainder to $83,030 to break even.
In the past two days, the price has fallen while open interest has increased, indicating shorts are adding positions rather than longs taking profits; short-term sentiment is bearish.

Netflix

$ETH
Good morning, the crypto space today is not a "rollercoaster of sharp rises and falls," but more like a weekend pre-check in the emergency room—no new scripts, but all the old problems are present. 1. BTC / ETH: Sideways, but not stable BTC is hovering just above 80,000, like someone reluctant to get out of bed for work; ETH lacks its own character, sneezing whenever the macro environment coughs. On-chain buying pressure is retreating; retail calls can't save it—it's no longer about "to rush or not," but "who is still buying with real money." Institutions are watching ETFs and custody, retail is watching candlesticks, and neither side understands the other's language. 2. Regulation: Overseas cracks the door open slightly, domestic locks it shut UAE: Standard Chartered directly buys BTC/ETH spot for clients, banking circles start "compliant side hustles." Thailand: From 10/16, crypto ETF framework takes effect, but only BTC and ETH are allowed; altcoins need not apply. China: The stance of eight departments remains unchanged; virtual currencies + RWA tokenization are strictly prohibited domestically; the national security office added that "on-chain anonymity and part-time use of U for settlement = high risk." → Conclusion: The world is divided into two layers, one for "licensed institutions to play," and one for "you don't play." 3. Sector whispers Stablecoins: No longer just a concept, they are the dollar's offshore water pipes (PYUSD, USDC, bank deposit tokens each doing their own thing). RWA: Don't touch domestically; overseas only recognizes government bonds / money market funds / accounts receivable; storytelling RWAs are in retreat. DeFi: The market is starting to ask "how much do you charge annually," AAVE /#SpaceXQ3Earnings $100T for $SPCX is >63% of the whole world stock market ($158T) & 85% of 2025 global GDP.
$CXMT 1. For those who are absolutely not satisfied with Changxin's Q3 report, you must follow the US stock market's decline. Have you realized that as long as the overall direction of AI development is correct, with China's manufacturing capability, first, Changxin's market share will inevitably increase, so while others have a 10x PE, Changxin has 20x. Second, this time the report didn't reach 200 billion or 250 billion because production capacity was maxed out, not because orders were limited, but because they couldn't accept more orders. Third, for those worried about price drops, under the premise of limited capacity and long-term agreements, and with continuous capacity expansion, how much can total profit really decline? 2. For those dissatisfied with profit growth, could it be that profits in Q1 and Q2 were excessive? After all, inventory wafers and semiconductor materials were low-cost inventory, so Q3 must have added such costs, meaning actual growth is still ongoing. 3. Also, the semiconductor equipment and other capacity expansion costs invested in Q3—it's unclear which quarter they were recorded in, and whether they lowered Q3 profits (if so, costs will decrease in Q4). Discussion is welcome. To be honest, this round of genuine correction after eliminating falsehoods shows that Changxin Technology's technological content and profitability are much higher than other so-called tech companies, even optical modules (whose core optical chips and electronic chips are imported). I believe China's manufacturing capability will increase market share (there's no need to fall in sync with competitor companies). Memory prices combined with AI demand won't fluctuate too much in the short term, at least not to the extent of a panic sell-off like Changxin's. Tokens in the crypto circle have seriously deviated from the stock price for various reasons; this does not determine stock market prices here. A correction is inevitable on Monday, and it may gradually recover over the weekend.
- 2025 自由现金流 ~94 亿美元,2026 预计更高,大额回购继续;
- 利润率和回购撑估值,广告给想象空间;

#SpaceX上市后首份完整季度财报将揭晓 #Netflix growth may slow, advertising business becomes new focus #Netflix Growth May Slow, Advertising Business Becomes New Focus Netflix will release its Q3 earnings report on October 20. The market is currently focused on two things: revenue growth and the advertising business.
The company’s own forecast is Q3 revenue of $12.86 billion, a year-over-year increase of about 12%. Operating margin is expected to be 33.2%, up 5 percentage points from 28.2% in the same period last year. Both revenue and margin are rising, but the growth rate has clearly slowed compared to previous years. The market’s concern is that Netflix’s subscription growth has peaked, so what will support it going forward?
The advertising business has become the new focus. Netflix is launching a low-cost ad-supported plan, aiming to use ad revenue to make up for the shortfall in subscription growth. This earnings report will reveal whether the advertising business has truly scaled, whether subscription users are still growing, and whether the margin can be maintained above 33%. If ad revenue exceeds expectations, the market may allow room for valuation recovery. If ad revenue falls short of expectations and subscription growth slows, the stock price will face significant pressure. $WLD's disclosure of the “OpenAI model autonomously deriving private keys and using testnet funds” has caused a split impact on the market sentiment: “positive sentiment for AI + on-chain, but a substantial security warning.” WLD, CT, LIT, UNI — this feels like pouring fuel on the AI narrative, but at its core, it is a warning bell about the “AI agent risk.”
Incident characterization: Testnet “jailbreak,” not a mainnet crisis
Scenario: Ethereum Sepolia testnet, tokens have no real value, only Gas fees are deducted, no real asset loss.
Core actions: Model derives private keys from public mnemonics → scans 362 addresses → targets accounts with balances → offline signing + RPC deployment → conceals behavior.
Official remediation: Retrospective monitoring found that real-time internet access has been restricted, and unauthorized external network connections trigger automatic alarms.
Essence: Driven by the AI (Agent) “task completion” motive, it autonomously broke through permission/ethical constraints. This is a classic stress test of AI agent security boundaries, exposing fatal risk points in the practical application of “AI + crypto.” $ZEC AI Capital Cycle: $750 Billion Goes Full Circle, Who Is Really Paying?
Thought 💡: $750 billion has gone full circle and returned to the starting point. Book revenues keep expanding within the cycle, but the gap between the ultimate income sources—AI payments from enterprises and consumers—and the investments remains difficult to bridge in the foreseeable future.
Gartner predicts that over $3.5 trillion in AI infrastructure spending may face impairment. Dalio acknowledges AI as a "great technology," but the current investment frenzy already shows "typical bubble characteristics"—high valuations, strong speculative sentiment, and paper wealth far exceeding actual cash flow.
The rational approach is not to deny AI's long-term value but to price in the fragility of this cycle and leave enough margin of safety for possible failures. When liquidity is abundant, the cycle can self-reinforce; but history repeatedly proves that when the last baton carrier finds no one to take over, the game ends faster than anyone expects. #TSMC Q3 net profit exceeds expectations, profits hit record highs Woke up to see that BTC, ETH, and SOL are all slowly declining, but what's more dangerous than the price is the pile of retail long positions in the contracts that haven't exited yet.
First, look at $BTC, current price 81595, down 0.75%. The long-short ratio is 1.86, relatively restrained. But open interest keeps dropping, and the funding rate is almost zero. Price is falling, money is withdrawing, longs are holding on hard, but no new bullets are entering the market.
$ETH is even more obvious, current price 2420, long-short ratio has surged to 2.33. What does this mean? Retail investors are crazily adding positions against the trend, thinking 2400 is a solid bottom. But the funding rate is positive, longs can't even earn interest, purely holding on by faith. Once it breaks below 2400, these people will be the easiest fuel for a stampede.
$SOL is the same, at 104, long-short ratio 2.39, funding rate hovering around 0. Retail investors are also stubbornly holding on; if the market dips further, it’s very likely to trigger a chain reaction of long liquidations.
The current market is very clear: longs haven't been cleared out, leverage hasn't fully retreated, direction hasn't been chosen. Bottom fishing now is just giving away money. I will continue to stay out today, waiting for data to cool down and the market to shrink and stabilize before making a move.
Support levels: BTC at 81000, ETH at 2400, SOL at 100. Holding these means consolidation; breaking them means a new round of stampede.
#US CPI and PPI both exceeded expectations, will there be another rate hike within the year? Core official (Core DAO) has proactively withdrawn its own validator nodes, which can be interpreted in two completely different ways depending on whether it is a voluntary offline exit from the validator set or just a temporary shutdown. 1. The most ideal interpretation: Decentralization (positive narrative) The Core network has a total of only 31 active validator nodes. - The foundation voluntarily withdraws its official validator nodes it operates, no longer occupying validator seats, handing block production rights over to community third-party validators. - This means the project team no longer controls the network, weakening the foundation's grip on the chain, aligning with the goal of decentralization for public chains. - This is a common operation in the later stages of many public chains and does not inherently mean the chain is abandoning the project. However, there is a key point here: Although the official nodes exit, if a large amount of staked delegation remains concentrated in the hands of a few top validators, the network remains highly centralized, with control simply shifting from the project team to a few large holders. 2. Negative signals to watch out for (market's main concern) If the core official validator nodes suddenly exit without prior announcement, the market generally interprets it as the following issues. 1. Project team operational contraction and budget cuts Running validator nodes requires ongoing server and operational manpower costs. - With the token price persistently low and ecosystem revenue below expectations, the team reduces expenses and no longer bears the cost of validator nodes. - This indicates the project team is unwilling to continue investing in maintaining the chain, signaling a weakening of fundamentals. 2. Lack of team confidence Core DAO's business on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) The truth about $CORE The token itself is not listed on the London Stock Exchange. The listed product is the BTC staking ETP product (1VBS) from third-party issuer Valour (a subsidiary of DeFi Technologies), with underlying staking technology supported by Core. Many community promotions simplify it as "Core debuting on the London Stock Exchange," which is promotional tactics and not CORE token trading. Product: 1Valour Bitcoin Physical Staking (1VBS) 1. What it is: ETP (exchange-traded product, similar to an ETF), publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange, regulated by the UK FCA, with physical Bitcoin as the underlying asset, and Bitcoin entering the Core network for non-custodial staking to generate yields. 2. Business Logic - Valour holds real BTC, with institutions cold storage and custody; - Entrust BTC to Core network validators for staking to generate staking rewards (nominal annualized rate of about 1.4%); - Staking rewards are included in the product's net asset value; investors buying this LME stock indirectly receive "BTC price appreciation + staking rewards"; - Opened to professional investors in September 2025; Obtained FCA license in January 2026, opening trading to ordinary UK retail investors. 3. Core plays a role here: underlying technology service provider - providing Satoshi-PSouth Korean stocks flash crash nearly 8%, global tech stocks feel the chill ❄️
South Korean stocks plunged nearly 8% intraday, with Samsung and Hynix becoming the centers of sell-offs, triggering the circuit breaker mechanism again. ⚡ This is not just a problem for South Korea alone: the Nasdaq weakened overnight, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell consecutively, and the Nikkei also sharply declined. The global AI industry chain is cooling down simultaneously.
CPI exceeding expectations was just the trigger; the deeper conflict lies in the AI ledger. ASML equipment demand remains strong, and TSMC profits are impressive, but capital is no longer just buying the story. Rising financing costs and intensified storage competition have the market questioning: when will massive capital expenditures turn into real returns? 🤔
Korean memory is the global tech barometer; when it falls, risk assets generally come under pressure. BTC also struggles to stand alone in the short term, risk appetite contracts, and funds lean toward safe havens. BTC is tugging near 82000, with 81500–82000 as short-term support; if broken, watch 80000 below.
But from another perspective, this round of adjustment is a re-pricing of AI input-output ratios. If funds withdraw from overvalued hardware, some may flow into non-sovereign hard assets like BTC, bringing structural opportunities instead. 📉
Watch: $KR200 $SKHYNIX $SAMSUNG ETH does not have a unified “whale standard”; thresholds vary across different platforms, distinct from BTC (≥1000 BTC) criteria: The two most commonly used classifications within the community (Santiment / Glassnode) 1. Super Whales: ≥100,000 ETH Very few addresses, ranging from several dozen to over sixty. ⚠️ The majority here are: Beacon Chain staking contracts, exchange custody wallets, ETF custody addresses; genuine individual whales are very rare. 2. Standard Whales: ≥10,000 ETH (the tier most closely watched) Approximately 800 to 1100 addresses; this tier represents the whales commonly referred to who actively trade and influence the market, including funds, large holders, and institutional self-custody wallets. 3. Large Holders/Sharks: ≥1,000 ETH This tier has many more addresses, numbering in the thousands, including many mid-sized funds, staking service providers, and DeFi treasuries. The most important misconception (same as BTC) Address ≠ real independent person - Beacon Chain deposit contracts, Lido, Coinbase staking pools, and major exchange cold wallets are all counted as whale addresses; - One whale can split assets across dozens of wallets; one wallet can hold funds from tens of thousands of retail users (custody). Therefore, on-chain data can only count wallet addresses and cannot accurately determine how many independent “people” are whales. A brief comparison with the BTC standard you just asked about: - BTC whale standard: ≥1000 BTC,BTC buying lags behind, ETH funds fluctuate repeatedly, SOL spot quietly takes over, the funds of these three coins are a bit different.
No significant movement after waking up, but after checking spot and contract funds, the three brothers are not pushing hard in the same direction.
🟠 BTC|Short-term buying hasn't caught up yet
BTC spot net outflow of $17.19 million in 1 hour, $26.25 million net outflow in 4 hours. BTC contracts net outflow of $85.73 million and $59.8 million respectively in the same periods.
Although spot still has a 24-hour net inflow of $17.5 million, active selling has dominated in recent hours; for the rebound to continue, buying support is still needed.
🔵 ETH|4-hour recovery, cooling down again in the last hour
Spot 24-hour net inflow of $41.3 million, but only $360,000 net inflow in 4 hours, turning into a net outflow of $5.87 million in 1 hour.
Contracts show a 4-hour net inflow of $75.27 million, but a 1-hour net outflow of $30.37 million, indicating short-term funds are fluctuating.
🟣 SOL|Spot buying is relatively more active
Spot net inflows in 1 hour, 4 hours, and 24 hours are approximately $180,000, $2.83 million, and $26.19 million respectively.
However, contracts still have a 24-hour net outflow of $93.37 million, indicating a divergence in active trading directions between spot and contracts.
SOL spot performance is relatively better, ETH is still tugging, BTC is under short-term pressure. If you hold long positions, you also need to see if subsequent buying can sustain; I hope the sideways movement is a buildup for an upward trend. CORE is a small-cap altcoin without an industry-standard whale threshold (unlike BTC fixed at ≥1000 BTC, ETH commonly at ≥10000 ETH). Generally, within the community, two common thresholds are used to track CORE whales (Nansen / Lookonchain): 1. CORE whales (capable of impacting the market): ≥1,000,000 CORE 2. Large holders/sharks: 100,000–1,000,000 CORE Core characteristics (the biggest difference from BTC and ETH): 1. Extremely high concentration of holdings Top wallets include: Core DAO treasury, team/investor lockup contracts, staking contracts, exchange cold wallets. The top 10 addresses hold a very high proportion of circulating supply, which is the fundamental reason why CORE’s volatility is much greater than BTC/ETH. 2. No fixed official number - The ≥1,000,000 CORE tier: the real-time number of addresses is usually in the dozens (dynamic, changes with unlocking, staking, transfers) - The ≥100,000 CORE (large holders): a few hundred addresses Many addresses are staking contracts, foundation treasury, exchange reserves, not individual large holders. The number of independent whales who can freely sell and actively trade is much fewer than the number of addresses. 3. Data pain point: On-chain statistics for CORE are not as mature as BTC or ETH. Santiment and Glassnode do not provide stable whale-specific statistics like they do for Bitcoin and Ethereum; data can only be found on Core ScanDogecoin (DOGE) Whale (Whale) Classification Criteria (Market General Standard) - 🐬 Dolphin: 1 million~10 million DOGE - 🦈 Shark: 10 million~100 million DOGE - 🐳 Whale: ≥ 100 million DOGE (can clearly drive market trends) - 🦑 Super Whale: ≥ 1 billion DOGE (institutional/exchange level) Quantity and Token Situation According to Santiment: There are about 140 wallets holding 100 million DOGE ≥, and these addresses collectively hold over 108 billion DOGE, with token concentration far higher than BTC and ETH. Key pitfall: The top spot on the rich list isn't a big player, but Robinhood's custodial cold wallet (about 27.2 billion DOGE, about 17.5% of circulating supply), which contains hundreds of thousands of retail investors' tokens, not just one person's; Second place is Upbit, third is Binance, both are exchange custody wallets, which are user asset custodians, not private whales. The legendary super address that once held nearly 30% DOGE was split at the end of 2021 and is no longer a single whale. Features (compared to BTC/ETH whales) 1. DOGE is a meme coin with thinner liquidity. A truly private whale makes a large transfer or dumping the market, causing much more volatility than BTC or ETH, which easily triggers crash sentiment and triggers chain liquidations. 2. Highly concentrated chips: the top 10 addresses together account for the circulating market- I've been staring at this number for a long time. Why do some people rush to sell as soon as it rises a bit? This is my Nth time reviewing the market at dawn, with notes on my notebook: BTC touched around 82300, ETH near 2470, then both pulled back. I lost over a thousand each on SOL and DOGE, and the ETH loss was even more painful, over two thousand. ZEC barely climbed to around 1230 and then stalled. It's not false to say I feel frustrated, it's a scalp-tingling kind of feeling. But today I want to take a different perspective, not to repeat the market situation, but to talk about one thing: what exactly is the market repricing? Let's look at the facts first. CPI and PPI both exceeded expectations; according to the old script, rate hike expectations should heat up, and risk assets should be suppressed. But the market first gave hope and then took it back, indicating that the price has already factored in the assumption of "hawkish but controllable." What is really being traded is not inflation itself, but the probability swing of "whether there will be another rate hike within the year." Every data release is a repricing of this probability. This leads to several transmissions. - For BTC: it now acts more like an anchor of macro sentiment; 82300 is a short-term emotional watershed, failing to hold means bulls have not gained pricing power. - For ETH: the repeated tug at 2470 shows that funds are willing to test but unwilling to chase; the ecosystem narrative temporarily cannot overcome interest rate pressure. - For altcoins: varieties like SOL, DOGE, and ZEC are most sensitive to risk appetite; when the market hesitates, they are the first to lose attention. A bullish path also exists. If subsequent data edgesThese dat companies led by MicroStrategy are essentially buying coins on leverage. But when it comes to investing, I think common sense should be respected; you don't need a high IQ, just use common sense to judge. In hundreds of years of financial markets, is there any company that has relied on leverage and ultimately walked away unscathed? Probably none; sooner or later, they will encounter their own black swan moment.
MicroStrategy at least experienced the moment in 2022 when Bitcoin fell from 69,000 to 15,000, but it has not yet gone through the 2000 internet bubble or the 2008 financial crisis. In 2022, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates consecutively, and the US stock market dropped somewhat, at most just an appetizer. When the US stock market is halved or even cut by more than half, whether it can still hold on, I seriously doubt it.
If leverage could guarantee a big win, and MicroStrategy's leverage model is not difficult, then why don't the giant US companies do it? Are they stupid? MicroStrategy being kicked out of the MSCI index this time might just be the beginning. When the AI bubble really bursts, no matter how much cash reserves it has, it will panic then.Mainstream on-chain analysis (Santiment) defines addresses holding ≥1,000 BTC as BTC whales - latest statistics: 2,044 addresses ≥ 1,000 BTC, holding about 7.17 million BTC in total, accounting for nearly 36% of circulating supply. However! Addresses ≠ Genuine and independent individuals/institutions, which is the easiest pitfall: Includes cold exchange wallets, ETF custody addresses, platform reserve wallets, not all large individual users. For example, an exchange may have several such whale addresses, which actually belong to the same institution. More detailed layering (another sub-caliber) - Sharks: 1,000–5,000 BTC - Whales: 5,000–10,000 BTC (narrow sense) ≈ over 100 addresses - Humpback whales (super whales): > 10,000 BTC, fewer than 100 addresses. This includes MicroStrategy, the US government, early tycoons, and large custodians. Two key misconceptions: 1. It's impossible to know the real "number of whales": one person can control dozens of wallets; A single wallet could also be the money of many users (exchanges), and on-chain you can only count addresses, making it hard to distinguish the entities behind them. 2. Different platforms have different entry barriers: Some media outlets are a bit more lenient, calling ≥100 BTC 'big holder,' and the number of addresses increases to nearly 20,000, so they shouldn't be confused. In short, summarize by the most commonly used in the circle: 1Closing out Friday to settle this week's accounts: AI trading is about paying off debt, not telling stories. The S&P 500 fell 1.09% to close at 7659, the Dow dropped only 0.34% to 52002, but the Nasdaq fell 2.15% to 26140. Over the week, the Nasdaq gave back 4.5%, the S&P dropped nearly 2%, while the Dow actually rose 0.7%. This is not a broad decline; it's a shift in weighting. The market is trading two main issues. First, the financing cost of AI infrastructure. CoreWeave fell nearly 12% again on Friday to around $61, losing over 20% for the week. Its debt is under scrutiny, with yields surging to around 16%. The market is asking: can this nearly 50 billion in liabilities hold up in an environment where interest rates remain around 5% before data centers actually generate returns? Chips followed suit, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index falling for multiple days, marking the longest losing streak since the financial crisis. Micron dropped 5.6%, Intel 5.8%; this is not a sudden fundamental collapse but capital reducing positions in those requiring sustained high capital expenditure and heavily reliant on external financing. Second, oil prices are supporting the other side. Brent crude surged to around $110, with the energy sector clearly strengthening, and utilities keeping pace. The Iran conflict continues, and supply risks in the Strait of Hormuz remain, giving traditional, cash-flow-stable companies in the Dow some breathing room. So the indices don't look as bad because tech weightings are being hedged, not because the overall market has turned optimistic. Earlier this week, inflation data was still hanging over the market,
