The latest reporting confirms that Chinese prosecutors are seeking to confiscate more than 61,800 $BTC linked to the Qian Zhimin fraud. However, the October 12 UK High Court ruling did not award the Bitcoin to China, the victims, or anyone else. It determined which country's law governs the victims' ownership claims.
That means the market is dealing with a potential future supply overhang, not a confirmed $5 billion market sell order.
